I am very grateful to the Authors’ Lounge for allowing me to write this article about my latest book. My name is Romelia Lungu. I am from Romania, but I have been living in Malta for 6 years.
Malta is a mysterious island with a rich history. Five years ago I started to explore the island. That’s how I discovered mysterious places where if you go at night you can feel some strange energies that sometimes give you cold shivers throughout your body.
That’s how I discovered a strange cave in a rock where many pigeons took shelter. I decided on the spot that I had to write a story with vampires who turn into pigeons. Initially, I didn’t know how to turn my idea into a story, so it was necessary to keep it in my mind for about three years.
After several attempts that did not bring me any satisfaction as an author, I managed to put the right words on paper to be then transformed into a book with several volumes. First, it was necessary to create a legend of a mystical land to take the reader into a magical world. Then everything came by itself easier than I would have expected.
If in the first volume, I only wrote about how everything started, only in the following volumes will the action really begin. I still haven’t thought about how many volumes this story will have, but I can say that there will be many.
In the book Queen of the Lost Kingdom, you will find a unique and original story about a special species of vampires who have the ability to transform into pigeons and possess magical powers that are meant to either destroy humanity or save it.

A small excerpt from the legend of the Imutall realm:
Once upon a time…
Thousands of years ago, even before mankind existed, a magical realm of esoteric beauty gave life to the desolate Universe. Time and space were irrelevant.
Immutall was divided into two kingdoms, Dominion and Niomanod.
In Dominion, there were the lamians, mythical creatures endowed with magical powers. They were characterized by their bodies glowing with vibrant, bright colors that often varied according to their mood or intent. The rays emanating from them were meant to illuminate the realm and everything that surrounded it. They were pure beings who would contribute many times over to the welfare of mankind. They could control people’s minds, but only when their history was altered. They were not allowed to interfere much in their decisions. When they had to come to Earth, they had the ability to transform into pigeons or even take human form to infiltrate among them. However, they could not stay in that form for long, as they risked being trapped forever in mankind’s world, and chaos would have been unleashed in the magical realm.
The lamians were led by King Ozbris and Queen Nettix, who ruled in a magically wrought crystal palace. Fourteen thick, round towers formed a protective wall on two sides of the castle and were connected by towering, heavy walls of blue crystal. Simple windows were generously scattered around the walls in symmetrical patterns, along with crenelations above, for the castle’s protectors. A huge gate with tall black crystal doors guarded the only entrance to the grand palace. Buildings of various sizes and strange structures populated the grounds outside the castle walls.
The queen and king had as advisors seven beings endowed with the powers of magic that they were allowed to use only when it was really necessary, so as not to create anarchy. The other beings of the kingdom were responsible for floating in the infinite Universe to provide light and warmth to all the planets that had been created by King Ozbris himself.
In Niomanod there were the unniruons, beings of various sizes and undefined shapes that shone like fire. The unniruons were led by Queen Jemisha, who was unwilling to give the beings in her kingdom a king.
She wanted to be in ultimate control.
The castle where the Dark Queen, as she was often called, ruled, had seven strong, square towers surrounding it. The towers reached twice the height of the walls and were linked by lower, wide structures of red crystal. Wide windows could barely be seen here and there along the walls in asymmetrical patterns. The nothingness around the castle was sometimes interrupted by strange beings that appeared and disappeared without any reason. The realm was illuminated by mysterious flames, which meant that evil was contained and confined to a sphere of power.
