A Passion Ignited by French Literature

Traveling abroad and studying French, rekindled my passion for writing and literature.  I especially enjoyed reading French authors like Camus, Dumas, Sartre, and Maupassant. Later I discovered French murder mysteries that truly bewitched my imagination. I first started writing my stories in French for my class and my French teacher encouraged me to pursue my writing aspirations. I took up the challenge and crafted my first English short story, “Vengeance,” which was self-published, on January 30, 2025, on Amazon.

I aspire to get help in order to adapt this story into other forms of media, such as a screenplay for a film or television series. This would allow me to reach a broader audience and bring the story to life in new and exciting ways. I would also like to engage with readers through discussions, social media, creating fans who can share their thoughts and experiences related to the book.

I would love to inspire and bring back the joy of reading to are youth. Knowledge is power and reading is important for the development of the human spirit.

My Journey Through Literature, Fashion, and Fine Jewelry

My name is Darnella Thomas, I grew up in Chicago, Philadelphia, and New York. I fell in love with Shakespeare’s sonnets and literature during high school. This love of Shakespeare led me to writing poetry and short stories.

As my journey continued, I discovered the glamorous world of modeling. I signed with one of the top agencies, Ford Models, and embarked on a career that included commercials, billboards, fashion shows, and more. The pinnacle of my career was being featured in Revlon Charlie ads in top fashion magazines.

After my modeling career, I started working in fine jewelry for the House of Chanel in New York.
