The Mountain Mover by Patty Davis

The Mountain Mover

Faith, Triumph, and the Power of Divine Intervention

Firstly, I want to thank Author’s Lounge for this chance. As a newly published Author I am grateful and humbled for this opportunity. I am thankful for their kindness and patience.

In this book “The Mountain Mover”, I share some of the stories that God carried me through and adversities that seemed like mountains out of my way. I share my story of when I decided to truly walk with God and what I faced and learned along the way. I share bible stories and scriptures that encouraged me in life and pray. Most of all this book is a faith-based inspirational book that no matter what you are facing in life God not only can move your mountains, but he wants to.

Writing The Mountain Mover: A Testimony of Faith and Resilience

Inspired by my faith in God and all he brought me through in life I knew it was time to put My Faith where my heart was., I knew The Mountain Mover was my chance and soon the words came flowing out of me like a river. One chapter after another, month after month during my free time before my CNA classes I wrote.

God had done so much for me throughout my life and took care of adversities that stood in my way, I wanted to tell the world about my God. That he could do anything. Even while writing this book, I faced a situation that threatened the CNA licenses I worked so hard to get. God moved in and took care of it.

Finding Strength Through Adversity: A Testament of Faith

Every obstacle in my life that God took care of Inspired this book. Every preacher I sat under and every hurt and brokenness I went through inspired this book. I went through things in life as a teen that no young girl deserves, I have been sexually mistreated and taken advantage of as a teen. Years later I was church hurt. I have also been accused of things I never did. I’ve loved with my whole heart and have been crushed. I lost most of my loved ones including my dad way too soon. Life has been hard but through everything I faced from my childhood to adulthood, God carried me.

I did nothing to deserve God’s grace and mercy so why did he move obstacles out of my way and keep his hand on me through some of my toughest years? I may not know every answer but I’m grateful he did.

Sharing Faith: Inspiring Others with God’s Miracles

I know God is no respecter of person and if he moved into my life and allowed me to walk closer with him, he would do the same for others. God has dismissed traffic tickets in my life and used me to minister to other women. I not only want Christians to be encouraged by the stories I share but even those who are struggling with life to be encouraged and their faith to be lifted. All we need after all is Mustard Seed faith.

Restoring Hope: Reaching Hearts for God

My dream is to reach those who have lost their faith in God, those who have been church hurt and broken. For every soul that is dying inside to be heard. If this book reaches someone and draws them closer to God, then I will have accomplished that Goal.

Nurturing a Lifelong Passion for Writing

As I journeyed through life, I always had a passion for writing. At an early age, my teachers in grade school saw potential in me and encouraged me to write. In middle school, the encouragement from other teachers and my aunt was always there.

During Highschool after receiving a standing ovation, from a report I wrote. I went on to write my first children’s book, but never sent it in to be published. To this day that book sits in a box along with many other articles, short stories, and songs I have written over many years. That I am determined to publish.

From Motherhood to Authorship: A Journey of Writing and Resilience

Years after high school I had my first child out of wedlock, I then met my now husband and had two more children with him. My passion for writing was put on the back burner. As my children grew older, I found I had more time to write, so I did. Years later I was noticed online after entering an article in some writer’s blog. I thought it might be a swindle and never went through with it.

I continued to write, writing down my thoughts, and started a prayer Journal. Life went by fast and soon I was an empty nester with grandchildren. Not long after that I moved my granddad in with me and cared for him for the last 3 years of his life. It was after his death I decided to write another book and was determined to finish it. That is when The Mountain Mover began.
