A Woman’s Journey Through Life’s Darkest Trials and Mysteries

The Devil Did it to Me, is a factual thriller about a woman who faced death many times throughout her forty-three years of life. She has traveled, telling this story to thousands globally intriguing the audience while challenging them to view themselves in a clearer faction of rises and falls. Her story is scary, fun, exhausting, and endearing, and will provoke every emotion the reader has. The book has a mysterious element that we all relate to. We have all wondered when the pipes bust, the dog pees on the carpet, the cat gets wrecked, a hurricane destroys our house, our son dies of an overdose, where these tragedies come from. The main character asks the same question. Her journey is the human journey but hers just happens to be darker than some.

Finding Light in Darkness: A Story of Tragedy, Fear, and the Quest for Meaning

Brooklyn Faith, two-time, American Author, states, “I have authored this book simply because we all have tragedies and times in our lives where fear and death grip us. We experience great losses and high gains, looking always to understand the existence of everything some of us only concluding that there is nothing in these things. Then others seem to understand where tragedy comes from. I wanted to make sense of this pain in a funny, dark, enlightening, and entertaining way by telling a story that has thousands internationally.

A Dark Yet Uplifting Tale for Those Seeking Meaning in Life’s Hardships

She also says, “My target audiences are young adults to elderly people who have some experiences of tragedy and can stomach a dark book who do not necessarily believe in anything but are just living to be good people and rest, in peace, when they die”.

A Dark Journey That Reflects Our Own: Challenging Readers to See Themselves Through Another’s Struggles

I want, this book, to reach those people who are curious to be challenged not in a convicting or condemning way but to hold a mirror to their face by delving into another human being’s internal and external world.

A Journey to Entertain, Enlighten, and Offer Answers to Life’s Deepest Pains

When asked, “What do you hope your readers get from your book”? she replied, “I just want them to be entertained, enlightened, and enriched. I want them to find answers to their own pain.”

A Lifetime Story: Crafted to Entertain, Challenge, and Inspire Reflection

Brooklyn says that her future goals with this book are to press forward selling it hopefully in masses and find a director who would make a movie out of the book. She has plans for author signings and speaking events where she tells the parts of the story that were not included. “There are no cliffhangers, but I do purposefully leave questions for the reader.”

Approaching Brooklyn with questions is easy like she has been preparing for this her whole life. She said, “I have planned this book since I was seven years old. It took me a lifetime to gather the content, but this book has been on my mind since then”.

Authorslounge has given me a platform to spread the news about my book so that more people can read it. Before, I was limited to how I could sell it,” Brooklyn said.

Faith, Resilience, and Authenticity: Connecting Through Real Stories

“I am a Public Speaker and have published another book and a poem. My passion is helping people by loving them like Jesus Christ loves me. I own a ministry whose mission is to “Unite All Alcoholics and Addicts Under One God.” I have videos on YouTube under Brooklyn Faith Speaks. I’m a daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. My faith, in Jesus Christ, influences hopefully everything I say and do. My educational background is in Law and Sociology. In my earlier career, before becoming an author, I was a mental health professional. I worked with people who had committed heinous crimes but were found not guilty for reasons of being insane. I did this in State hospitals with adults and juveniles. Also, I rehabilitated minor felons with psychiatric diagnoses. I enjoyed my career but due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to leave that career due to my health.

My first book, you may notice has mistakes, and this one might too. I allow that because it is authentic work. In 2022, I was diagnosed with a rare brain disease that affected my language skills ending my speaking career temporarily. I could not afford an editor, but my editing was not good because of the disease. I am real. My readers are real. I want to connect with them. I do not write inspirational or self-help books, but I do want my audience to learn and grow as people when I speak or write. I’m now speaking, writing, and walking all thanks to God and good doctors.

I do not plan to go back to my career. I am an Author now and that is my new love! My next project is a children’s book. It should be released anytime between now and January 2025.
