Hello friend. I am an author, poet, and artist M. L. McAmis. I am from Greeneville, Tennessee. Thank you for taking the time to read this article. I am a graduate of Long Ridge Writer’s Group, the Institute of Children’s Literature, and both of their advanced classes. I am also a long time writer and reader of poems. That is a passion of mine.

“INTRUDER: A HORRIFYING, POETIC TALE” is by far one of my favorite things I have ever done. It is one long narrative poem with a rhyme scheme. I definitely call it my literary work of art. It is the first of my Poetic Tales or Poetic Stories.

Intruder: A 5-Star Gripping, Poetic Tale of Betrayal and Revenge

It received 5 of 5 star ratings at Goodreads and Readers’ Favorite. The Readers’ Favorite review is, and I quote: “INTRUDER: A HORRIFYING, POETIC TALE by M. L. McAmis is a story about an old witch that accidentally killed his brother and the grim events that followed. Awoken by a sound, he hid in his closet to see who/what the intruder was. Inspired by a Dream: The Mysterious Journey Behind Writing This Poetic Tale

I was inspired to write this book by a dream I had one night. I woke up and wrote down a few notes. Later, I wrote a very short poem about it. Then wrote a very short story about it. After several days it was crafted into lines of poetry with a rhyme scheme. I was woken many nights while writing this book. There were unusual sounds in my home. I remember being touched while I was sleeping and no one was around. It had to be related to completing this book.

I had, and still have, a laptop which I called “ANOTHER LAPTOP FROM HELL.” even wrote a blog about it. I explained how I felt drawn to it while writing that book. It was as if it held me too. The release happened only after I finished the book. I’m not really sure what the target audience of this book is. I would not read it to or let small children read it, though. I suppose anyone else would enjoy this literary work of art.

A Journey Into Greed and Evil: Ambitions for a Bestseller and Future Film

I hope readers see this greed and know what a usurping piece of crap is after following this character’s journey. He is more less a power and money hungry person that turns into almost pure evil. He knows it is wrong but keeps getting more and more evil.

My future goal of this book is to see it as a best seller. I also have plans of seeing it as a movie, eventually. I practice writing screenplays a little. Maybe I will be the one that writes the screenplay for it also.
