What is the book about?
The book dips its toes into a few different genres but primarily it is Science Fiction with mystery and horror elements. Entity: The Complete Trilogy follows the story of an unfortunate town which is visited by a mysterious light in the sky. As things escalate it is up to the residents of the town to come together and figure out what is happening.
What inspired me to write the book?
My inspiration for writing a book at all stems from my school days. During my earlier years up to the age of 10, I found it hard to read and write. I was placed on remedial books which were there to aid me with my reading and writing journey. I have always been a creative type, but writing a book was my ultimate goal, despite the struggles I faced. I was a bit of a loner and I believe I alienated myself due to my anxiety and depression.
The main inspiration for writing the book was to prove to myself that I could do it. To do it for myself more than anything else. The motivation came from all the people who told me I couldn’t or that I would never achieve it.
Though these people are in my past I regularly think about them to provide me with the motivation to carry on with my writing journey.
Who are my target audience?
I believe my target audience for Entity: The Complete Trilogy is young adults upwards; I think there is something for everyone who enjoys the genres I explore.
I am moving onto a more adult audience for my next release, however I do have plans to cater for young adults again in the future. My goal with my writing is to cater for as many different age groups as I can.
What do I hope readers will gain from my book?
I hope that other than the story, people will look past this and find the inspiration to follow their own dreams, despite any obstacles that stand in their way, in the same way that I have and continue to do.
I want to give readers hope that their dreams and aspirations can be achieved through determination and drive. My main goal, apart from creating more content, is to inspire others to go for it. To do what they want to do, whether this is writing or some other venture. We all have what it takes within us, but putting wheels into motion is another thing altogether.
What are my future goals and plans?
The future is looking to be busy. I have new book, a novella, Spirals of Grey, coming soon. This is a more adult, psychological horror type story. I have already started writing my next one and have many ideas for the future.
I also have plans to re-visit the Entity universe, which is currently way in the future but I’m just as excited about that project as the ones that are imminent. I hope that you will join me on my journey.
About Me
I grew up in Southampton, Hampshire, UK, where I struggled at school reading and writing. I always wanted to write a book though. I was placed on a remedial programme to help me along the way. I was a loner and isolated myself from others. I developed anxiety and depression from a young age, but I tried to carry on to achieve what I could.
My love of writing was put on hold whilst I attended college. When my studying was complete, I started work as a Care Assistant which I still do 11 years later.
As I started work, the spark within me reignited and one day just woke up and started writing. Negative people around me at the time, who were putting me down at every chance, made me more motivated to do it. I first released Entity in 2015 and it spawned two sequels: Entity 2 in 2016 and Entity 3 in 2017.
In 2020 I moved from Southampton to Wales, where I currently reside. I am still a Care Assistant, which I absolutely love. The COVID years were a blur and before I knew it, it was 2024. Earlier on this year, a friend wanted to read the Entity trilogy and when she completed it, suggested that it should be combined into one book. Thoughts started turning and I began planning.
In May 2024, I released Entity: The Complete Trilogy. It has reawakened my love for writing and I haven’t stopped since.
I now have a supportive network of people around me, who have been there to help and guide me along the way whilst promoting Entity: The Complete Trilogy. The future is looking exciting.
