Magical Adventures in Purrville: Queen Jordy Rabbit and Chaycat’s Quest to Save the Kingdom
My book is The Adventures of Chaycat and Jordy Rabbit: Firecats. It is the first book in a series of Fantasy Adventure Kids’ books. The main characters of this book are Queen Jordy Rabbit who is the ruler of Purrville, a kingdom of magical cats and Chaycat, who is her trusted advisor and liaison.
Queen Jordy Rabbit and Chaycat work together to try to save Purrville from the Firecat tribe who have decided to take over the village. In this book, Chaycat and Jordy Rabbit meet cats from other cat tribes in the village and utilize Midnight, a Wizardcat, to help them with their dilemma. This is an adventure full of magic and twists.
Inspired by Imagination: How Chayton Hudson’s Love for Cats Sparked a Magical Book Series
This book was inspired by my son, Chayton Hudson. Chayton loves to play make believe. Cats are his favorite animal. He’s called himself “Chaycat” since he was a baby. He is always coming up with elaborate cat characters who have magical powers. One day, I told him, “Chayton, you should write a book!” to which he responded, “Maybe you should!” And so, we did! From that one book, we created five more in the series in a matter of three months.
We really enjoy telling stories about Chaycat and Queen Jordy Rabbit’s adventures and the lessons that Queen Jordy Rabbit learns. Chayton’s Creative World: Introducing Queen Jordy Rabbit, Inspired by His Sister Jordan
Chayton imagined all the characters in this book, except Queen Jordy Rabbit. I wanted to include his sister, Jordan, in the book as well. When he plays make believe with her, he always makes her a queen. We are avid animal lovers in our house.
Cats are our favorite animal. We have six and we consider a grey stray to be our cat too. He comes inside a few times a day to eat and relax with our other cats. Our books feature some of our cats. Midnight, the Wizardcat, is inspired by our black cat, Midnight. Belle, another Wizardcat, is also inspired by our cats. Sparkles and Rodeo were also our cats. Unfortunately, we have since lost both of them but they will forever live on in our hearts and in our books.
Perfect for Kids: Fun Adventures, Family Collaboration, and Our Love for Cats
The target audience for our book is kids from six to preteen. I hope readers will find our book fun to read but also learn the subtle lessons that Queen Jordy Rabbit must learn in each book.
Our future goal for our book is to continue the series. We have currently written six books and are going to publish the second book of the series on August twenty-second with Kindle preorder available on August nineteenth; The Adventures of Chaycat and Jordy Rabbit: Mer-cats. We include the first two chapters of the next book in the series in all our paperback editions.
I have always wanted to write a book, but I have never been able to complete one until now. This series of books is extremely special to me since my son and I wrote them together and we included his sister, so it is more of a family project.We hope to sell many books, but we are extremely grateful for the ones we’ve sold so far and for the time we’ve spent together writing this series.
