People have always been fascinated with paranormal and supernatural events.
Some can be frightened by these occurrences, but others regard these with amazement. Yes, people may get scared by these experiences or when they learn of such incidents. But they know they aren’t actually in danger. And that’s what makes these concepts interesting.
This must be why horror remains one of those genres that have continued to dominate the cinemas and mainstream media, with numerous movies and series released annually. The more frightening the theme is, the higher people rate them. The gorier scenes are, the more most people can’t look away. Not to mention, when something questionable or complicated happens, people are quick to point and associate it with either the paranormal or the supernatural.
From bigfoot to UFOs and the different apparitions, several supernatural figures are famous within society. People may have yet to see these. But over time, most have gradually been convinced of their existence, gravitating toward finding evidence to back their claims.
Indeed, there’s something fascinating and frightening about how these figures have randomly appeared in people’s beliefs, regardless of whether they’re proven true. But it’s another level of fear hearing about people’s true-to-life encounters with the paranormal. These don’t need to be verified, as they did happen for someone to experience.
This is the overarching theme of my book, Paranormal.
It’s a compilation of every paranormal incident I’ve encountered from my childhood until recently.
Some of these encounters are reasons why I became highly interested and passionate about the paranormal field. And perhaps, what they say is true. You attract what you seek. And ever since I began developing this interest, writing every event down, more paranormal encounters seemed to happen around me.
Here’s how everything began:
I was seven when I had my first encounter with the paranormal. It was any typical day, July 4th, to be exact. I was with my classmates, and we were setting out flags as a commemoration for the soldiers of World War One and Two when it happened. I saw a little boy about the age of six or seven. He wore overalls, a white shirt, black shoes, and a pear hat. His image was vivid, and I could see his hair sticking out of his hat. It was brown. I would have mistaken him as one of my friends if not for what he wore and how uncanny he was amid everything else.
This event and that little boy prompted my paranormal encounters – experiences that I still encounter, despite already being in my mid-30s. And perhaps, it’s also this event that inspired me to start documenting and narrating my encounters at age 18. This could be just my passion for the scary and unknown talking. But while paranormal encounters are, by nature, spine-chilling, they’re also enchanting, to say the least.
Why are these apparitions showing themselves?
Why am I seeing them, but others can’t?
Aren’t you curious about the answers to these?
The encounters I documented in this book may be terrifying.
Some can also be nightmare-inducing and might leave you sleepless over the night.
However, my book, Paranormal, is available for anyone willing to read a scary tale or two from my life. No age restrictions are required, but, of course, children should be supervised. I want to share my encounters to stir wonder and a tinge of amazement within my readers. And hopefully, they will also begin to develop the same love and passion I have for the paranormal. This book isn’t written to encourage people to explore haunted houses or abandoned buildings. Instead, I want them to be more open about the possibilities of the supernatural existing with us.
The world would be more striking with the idea that other beings exist.
Now, I’m a mom and a wife. And when the right time comes, I think I will also share my paranormal experiences with my children. Allow them to understand the world within ours that might exist.
