From Tango to Tales: Nicolás Carámbula’s Journey from Advertising to Children’s Books
Greetings to all Author’s Lounge readers.
My name is Nicolás Carámbula. In my old days, one of my first jobs was as editor of Tanguedia magazine, a publication dedicated to Tango. Then, I dedicated myself to the world of advertising, being an advertising creative in several renowned agencies, and I have been fortunate enough to have some of my pieces included in international awards, such as the Cannes Festival. Now, I am totally devoted to one of my old loves: writing, more specifically, writing children’s books. I present to you my new book: Messi: A Story for Everyone.
Inspired by Messi: A Tale Beyond the Field
First of all, I want to tell you what inspired me to write this book. I prefer people to remember me as a great person rather than a great soccer player. With that I thought: if the best player in the world says that, it means that there is a lot to know and value beyond what he does and has done with the ball. Therefore, this is not just a book of facts about Messi, it is a story of his life. It is a story that almost everyone can identify with at some point in his life, and a great motivational story for children.
Messi for Kids: A Tale of Sacrifice, Support, and Humility
It is a book designed and dedicated to children, intending to learn about a world star and the road he had to travel to become one. It was not an easy road, where sacrifice, self-improvement and humility were key points to achieve it. It’s a story that highlights the sacrifice and the importance that, despite having all the conditions and talent, no road is traveled alone, without the support of family, friends and/or a team. I want children to know the other side of the life of one of the greatest soccer players of all time. A simple person, with normal tastes and with a day to day life with family and friends that is not very different from yours or mine.
Family Moments with Messi: Anecdotes, Recipes, and Hand-Drawn Illustrations
This book is ideal to read with the family and enjoy different anecdotes about Messi, from the beginning of his career to his present at Inter Miami. I hope you can share a nice moment with your family and learn about a little explored side of Lionel, and not only that! I also share with you the recipe of his favorite dish, so you can make it and enjoy it as a family.
With this book, I hope readers will enjoy a simple, easy and understandable read for children and young readers. It is fully illustrated by hand, with no AI content in the images; all were created especially for the book.

It includes photos of the trophies Messi has won in his career and illustrations of little-known aspects of his life, such as his acting, his love of dogs and video games, his humanitarian side and the foundation he has (Messi Foundation), which helps children around the world and in his own country. Messi: A Story for Everyone is more than a book about soccer; it is a work that seeks to inspire, educate and connect children with the values of effort, humility and love for family. I want children and their families to enjoy reading this book and be motivated by Lionel Messi’s story.
