A 14-Year Journey Through Life, Love, and Enlightenment: Insights on My Novel’s Creation
Article for Authors’ Lounge I am very happy to share some insights with the Authors’ Lounge and its audience about my novel ‘Life, love and enlightenment or just another story’. The name says it all, the book is in fact about Life, Love and Enlightenment that did happen to the main character of my novel in recent years. It took me a few years to complete my work. I wrote this novel within the period of 14 years.
A Global Odyssey: Crafting a Novel of True Events Across Four Countries Over 14 Years
The beginning was born in 2010, then another part came in 2018 and the whole novel was completed in 2024. The book is based on true events that did happen in four different countries, United Kingdom, Holland, Belgium and Russia, during the period of 8 years. The inspiration came from the extraordinary events that my main character, Vasiliy Zotov, encountered. I decided to record these events and write this novel as I believe it could be beneficial and motivating for those who might have experienced or are going through similar situations right now in their lives.
The way I structured my work, and the events described, are appealing to a wide audience, I would say from 18 years of age and upwards, without any particular restrictions. The matters, questions, perils, situations and encounters that are described in my novel have touched every single person on Earth at some point in their lives. It also reflects current, recent times with its particulars and specific details of every culture mentioned in my book. I believe it can help my readers to look at some very difficult situations in their own lives from a different angle.
Weaving Complexity and Emotion: A Novel Designed to Draw Readers Deep Into Its Many Layers
This novel is rather complex work, which might not seem that way from the beginning. It spreads in many different directions and dimensions like the roots of a tree, if you like, or our neurological system in our bodies. There are quite a few very different goals that I tried to achieve in my book, apart from just telling the story.
The story line itself, I wanted to make alive and transmute to my readers the feelings, emotions together with reflecting and describing the thinking process of my main character. I tried to make my novel attached to the reader. I wanted to drag your spirit into the storyline, to make you experience and get involved in the circumstances and events that my character went through.
A Continuous Flow: Reinventing Storytelling with a Unique, Chapterless Structure
Besides that, I also invented and implemented a totally new way of writing a story. There is no table of content in my book. I deliberately refuse to break it into chapters or parts. It has a continuous and a floating structure as I call it. After all, it is my own personal expression. Like every writer, I want my novel to be read and spread across the audience in many countries.
The main purpose of my work is to be read and enjoyed, and potentially you might find it helpful in your personal life journey. I believe it might be essential for the Authors’ Lounge and its readers to say a few words about myself. My main interest in life is knowledge. Not the knowledge that can be obtained through reading, listening or thinking about important processes in life or subjects, no. However, the practical knowledge that can be earned and gained only through experimenting and interacting with the source of information directly.
Unveiling Sacred Knowledge: My Journey Through Direct Interaction with Elements and Materials
This is the knowledge that I am interested in. I am always seeking the sacred information that is hidden in the hidden chambers of the elements themselves. This very knowledge changes my mind, allows me to communicate with the material directly, collides with the energy of my soul with the source and changes me to a different being, every time I access this channel of communication. Before I decided to try the language and the words as a medium, I tried several different materials, including wood, metal, pigments, pencil, oil, plants, milk, alcohol, meat, fruits, and some other organic materials.
Writing by Inspiration: Embracing Spontaneity and Authenticity in My Creative Process
Then I started to experiment with words. I write poems when they visit me I do not have a particular objective, such as, to write a book or a story for the sake of it. I only record what comes to my mind and my soul, and when it’s ready to be translated into words,I record it. Therefore, I am not your usual writer if I can be called a writer at all. Regarding the process of writing stories, I noticed there are stories when the writer describes the events in every elaborate way possible, using extravagant words and idioms, creating interesting scenes and characters, spending lots of pages describing their outfit and characters, their past and intentions for the future.
Crafting Immersive Worlds: Using Words to Evoke Atmosphere and Inner Experience
Also, there are other writers, who don’t spend vast amounts of words on such descriptions but use the words in a way to create images in reeders mind, to transmute feelings and inner experiences that cannot be directly or precisely described with any word. When I read these stories, and I did manage to find a few books like that.
The words disappeared from the pages, and only I see is the world around me I was invited to experience the atmosphere, the emotions, and the inner mechanism of decision making of the characters to witness the circumstances through which the tale was taking me to. This is exactly what I wanted to achieve in my writings.
Breathing Life into the Realm Beyond Words: Creating a Lasting Impact Through Subtle Storytelling
I wanted to create the world beyond the words on paper, without describing a lot in detail but at the same time a very real and influential realm the realm that I lived through, and the events I experienced within. Whether I managed to achieve my goal or not, is not for me to tell all I can do is to try, again and again, until one day one of my writings will eventually become alive. A story that won’t die with me, but will continue its own life in the minds of my readers.
