The concept of angels has existed since time immemorial. How can believers say that angels guide people?
Angels are a concept introduced to people once they’re old enough to understand. Often associated with the word guardians, these entities are believed to usher people toward goodness.
They’re said to be everywhere, always with those they’re meant to guide – a shadow of light pulling people away from darkness. For religious believers, angels are a concept in which they have the utmost confidence.
However, to most, their authenticity is a classic question yet to be proven true or false.
What Roles Do Angels Have?
Angels or guardian angels guide people. This is the essence of their presumed existence, why they’re called, and how they’re called. Guardian angels are figures created out of God’s will, messengers who intercede for people to ensure they’re on the path aligned with His will. They constantly communicate with Him, exchanging messages about what must be done to protect humanity’s souls.
When people think of the word angel, the imagery of a translucent being automatically comes up. In modern times, this image has been corrected to that of a “biblically accurate” figure. But beyond the debate of how it looks, the question about their existence remains a polarizing matter. Divided between believers and heretics, people are still hesitant to fully trust the idea.
There may be no harm in accepting their existence.

However, some prefer to leave their decisions to their autonomy, not on an identity maneuvering their lives. On the other hand, believers find comfort in the idea that angels guide people, which means they will always be on the right path in life.
Guiding People Even When They’re Unaware
Author Brenda Gatliff discusses how people are never truly alone in her book Wait… The Reality Is That We Are Never Alone, which is entitled precisely to the message she conveys. The book Discusses spiritual encounters people may unconsciously experience that prove there’s a divine presence orchestrating their lives.
The theme in her book primarily revolves around the belief that angels guide people. It works similarly to the quote that says: when people want something, the universe conspires to help them achieve it. But in this case, the “universe” is replaced with a benevolent being that has already planned everything about people, down to how they succeed. Brenda’s book further promotes the idea that people’s lives are already organized and angels merely guide them to live by what has been planned.
Angels guide people to what God has planned for them.
But how do they do this?
The Magical Ways That Angels Guide People
There are moments in life that can’t be understood or explained. They may be bewildering the moment they happen but will later make so much sense to people. Although it can be challenging to explain, one thing is certain: these moments are works of God.
Whether it’s being stuck in traffic to avoid a job interview or simply randomly finding and relocating somewhere, there are moments when something intervenes. Careful intercessions surround people. They will always be guided and directed to where they’re supposed to be. Most of the time, this can be by their own decisions. But often, this is due to their protectors leading them.
Angels guide people in more ways than people can imagine.

Through Dreams
This theme is also tackled in Brenda’s book, where she mentions how dreams have guided her through life’s challenges, helping her make decisions that improve her condition.
Often, angels guide people through their dreams. They communicate to them through what they see or hear when they’re asleep, sharing important insights that will help them in life. Although there will be moments when dreams come and go without a trace, there are those that leave impacts—people should listen to these. To better understand them, they can leave papers and pens by their bed to help them remember what they saw. The more they practice this, the better they will be at receiving.
Through Verbal Communication
Most of the time, angels guide people in ways they can’t vividly observe. But there are also times when they reach out in obvious ways. Angels can speak directly to people. This can come through a voice inside one’s head or somewhere outside, calling them to obey what has been said. This often happens in situations requiring immediate actions that may put people in danger.
Through Signs and Symbols
It’s not uncommon for people to see signs and translate them as messages. Angels guide people through this method. They can give them symbols throughout the day that will resonate and be understandable only to those for whom the message is. This can be done through random objects correlated to a sentiment, such as graffiti or stickers that relay a message when people need it the most.
Indeed, there are many ways to observe that angels guide people. However, coincidences also exist. The only way to tell whether experiences are signals is for people to pay attention to their emotions. A sign from one’s angel will always feel calm, or people will strongly feel like the message is for them.
