Nostalgia and Anticipation of Christmas Memories
All of us can remember our Christmas vacations from school, children and adults alike. The days of snow-filled fun, with snowmen dotting the landscape. As Christmas morning nears, excitement builds with cheerful play and tracking Santa’s progress across the globe. All as the fear of coal awaiting you in your stocking, lingers in the back of your mind.
A Heartwarming Tale of Friendship and Holiday Magic
Hello Santa: A Christmas Story rekindles nostalgic memories through the lives of four childhood friends. Their friendship grows as the book progresses, and the experiences they share throughout the book, plants the seed to grow their friendship for a lifetime. In the book, the antics and play that draw the four closer together, culminates with a trip to see Santa.
Anticipation and Miracles at Santa’s Lap
All four characters in the story have their own expectations of the big man sitting in his big chair, who is waiting for each one of them to sit on his knee where he awaits them with a miracle. They share their hesitation or eagerness with one another as they wait in line to see him, and there, their wishes for Santa become something they could never have dreamed.
Inspired by Friendship and Childhood Adventures
The story, Hello Santa: A Christmas Story, arose from watching my son and his childhood friends playing Dungeons and Dragons one evening. Now in their mid-Twenties, the six of them are still joking around, and teasing one another. As men, they are still making fun of one another, but only out of friendship and a bond they have built over years of spending time with one another.
Inspiring Timeless Friendships Across Ages
It is the hope that the book Hello Santa: A Christmas Story will inspire readers of all ages to look deeper into these friendships and aspire to build friendships of their own. Either in their youth, or at whatever age they happen to be. Hello Santa was originally written for adults, so that they could require those nostalgic memories of their past with childhood friends, but as the book was written, the nine-year-old characters came to life and became a book that young people can enjoy as well.
Exciting Sequels to Continue the Christmas Magic
There are two more Hello Santa books set to be released in the fall of 2025. The first, Hello Santa: A Christmas Story Reunion, which takes place 30 years after the four went to see Santa together for the first time, where each child in the story, experienced their own miracle. Also, Hello Santa: An Icy Miracle, takes place a year after their first visit to see Santa occurs. In this story, the four must go see Santa to keep the miracle of Santa alive. Through this story, the four of them realize that the consequences of not seeing Santa are the end of his miracles.
Inspiring Imagination and the Magic of Friendship
As a writer, I believe it’s my responsibility to inspire readers and ignite their imagination to dream more. To make the best of any situation and always find the good in what may seem like a bad circumstance.
Hello Santa was written so that anyone who reads it can take away from it something that they enjoyed. Maybe a childhood memory of their own that inspired them or brought with them as they grew, the magic that the Christmas season can instill in all of us.
I hope readers take away the importance of childhood friendships and the ones that last a lifetime.
