We’re All Crazy: Get Used to It! by Jerold Skolnik is a practical guidebook you can use to enjoy life to the fullest and learn what it means to be alive.
Everyone wants to live a good life. It’s practically embedded in the genetic makeup of humanity to yearn to live a life that is free of worry, free of issues, and free of restraints. Yet, not everyone has the capacity for it, both figuratively and literally. As a famous meme once said, “We live in a society,” and it does severely limit one’s prospects for happiness.
Living it to the fullest is a universal human goal, but only a very few know how to go about actually bringing it to fruition.
How to Start Living to the Fullest
While the solutions to living to the fullest may vary from person to person–which is obvious since everyone has their own goals and motivations–there are still several available ideas that can lead people in the same general direction and help them make the most of their lives.
Here are some tips on catching that good life:
Tip #1: Pursue Your Passions
One of the most important things that can help people in living to the fullest is to pursue what they find actually meaningful. While tedious office work might be marvelous for some, it’s not for everybody.
Of course, this does not mean throwing everything away in pursuit of art, music, writing, or any other hobby, only the suggestion that you never give up. It may not make you rich and famous, but having something to be passionate about makes life a little bit easier and brings a wonderful sense of fulfillment and joy to one’s life.
Try to find some time and discover ways to include your passions or hobbies in daily life. A good life is waiting for those who live for their passions.
Tip #2: Stay Active
You might be asking, doesn’t having a good life mean not having to exercise? WRONG! When people think about living to the fullest, they always think about being satisfied and getting all they’ve ever wanted. And while that does play into things, your physical and mental well-being are extremely important to a good life.
Staying active and exercising releases endorphins, chemical compounds that help elevate your mood and lower stress levels. In addition, being physically fit is a good way of maintaining a healthy weight, avoiding the risk of chronic diseases, and giving you another thing to be passionate about.
Remember, living to the fullest doesn’t just mean indulging in your cravings. It means actively making your life the best as could be humanly possible.
Tip #3: Build Strong Relationships
A good life doesn’t mean anything without anyone to share it with. You might think you’re a lone wolf or something, but that’s where you are wrong! People need each other to live good, fulfilling lives–and having strong and steady relationships with friends and family is critical to achieving this and living life to the fullest.
So, the next time a friend or a family member invites you anywhere: be considerate, take all the time you need to think about it and weigh it seriously. Spending time with loved ones is a great source of joy and support. Family and friends offer a wonderful network of support that helps you navigate the ups and downs of life.
Furthermore, the establishment of strong relationships not just with family and friends but with the wider community gives you a sense of belonging and stability, which helps with creating a more positive outlook on life.
