God is good. But what does that mean—that God is good?

People often hear the phrase, “God is good.” It is used in songs, sermons, and sometimes as a response when both bad and good things happen in your lives. In all these things, people often say, “God is good.”

Still, what does this mean? God is good in many ways, including how He watches over us, provides for us, and guides us. But it goes even deeper than that. God’s goodness is who He is, and humankind is created in His image, so we share His goodness.

“Why do you call me good?” Jesus asked. “Only God is perfect.” Luke 18:19.

My Journey Into Perfect Love: The Other Side Of Fear

The Lord’s goodness shows up in our lives every single day. Although we mostly think of His goodness when something huge happens, His goodness flows all the time, every hour, minute, and second of the day (even the most minor things around us).

The Other Side Of Fear is a book that shows our Father God is good in W. Veronica Lisare’s memoir. This story is about moving from crippling fear, abuse, and low self-esteem to knowing God’s ultimate love. Author W. Veronica Lisare has discovered joy, hope, courage, freedom, and fulfillment as she embraces her true identity as a daughter of the King of kings. Veronica conveys the deeper details of her journals. She tells everything from an unhappy childhood into a loveless marriage, a devastating divorce, a granddaughter’s death, and a cancer battle to a bounty job as a nurse and a career as a minister of Jesus Christ’s true gospel. The author’s testimony and the spiritual tools she took along the journey will inspire all readers and encourage them to move through their challenges to the Lord’s perfect love and the other side of fear. This book will help you accept that nothing is so damaging that it can not be defeated, with God being your Rock and Comfort.

Say A Little Prayer

My Lord and Personal Savior, I thank You for waking me up every morning. Please help me to slow down amid my busy life. Allow me to see Your best every day, whether big or small. Help me acknowledge Your blessings immediately when they are poured on me. Thank You for Your guidance and protection. Help me to listen and discern Your voice, whispering carefully to my heart as You answer my prayers. Rejoice in my satisfaction when You say yes, help me see why You say “no,” and give me the wisdom and patience I need when You say, “Wait.” Please help me walk in alignment with Your goodness. Let Your light shine into the world for all who need it. Let me see the bounty of Your goodness in my life and others’ daily lives. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
