ReadersMagnet revisits Dr. Eric Alsterbergs thoughts on healing and transformation.

In the past, we have published a number of articles about Dr. Eric Alsterberg and his works. Dr. Eric Alsterberg is the author of the groundbreaking book Healing and Transformation: Moving from the Ordinary to the Extraordinary. Today, we are going to revisit Dr. Aslterberg’s book and take a look at some of its highlights.

What is healing from a spiritual standpoint, and how important it is for us?

Spiritual healing is defined by many as an interaction between a sick person and the healer in order to alleviate the patient’s illness. When we hear the term spiritual healing, we often associate it with energy medicine and the many techniques under its branch, including biofield energy healing, spiritual healing, contact healing, distant healing, and therapeutic touch. But what exactly is healing spiritually? In Dr. Eric Alsterberg’s book Healing and Transformation, he discussed healing old emotional wounds and traumas, doing away with old toxic and dysfunctional patterns, and returning to a more spiritual path. This kind of spiritual healing is healing the inner self. It means transforming the body and soul into better individuals.

Dr. Eric Alsterberg’s Groundbreaking work on healing and transformation

In 2009, Dr. Eric Alsterberg released his book titled Healing and Transformation: Moving from the Ordinary to the Extraordinary. It is a revolutionary book answer several questions on life and how to pursue a more meaningful spiritual relationship with God, and in the process, transform yourself into a healthier and more content individual.

“We have a spiritual ego and a psychological ego that keep us trapped in dysfunctional patterns of thought and behavior. The spiritual ego promotes separation, differences, and spiritual pride that becomes the antithesis of walking a true spiritual path. The psychological ego prevents us from healing the emotional wounds and traumas we experience in life, preventing us from creating a path of joy, seeing harmony and unity in all, and progressively learning to walk the spiritual path. Ultimately both ego prevent us from increasingly choosing who we are and who we want to be, moving beyond the illusions of separation and limitation, and toward unity and spiritual transformation, or ascension.” (excerpt from Dr. Eric Alsterberg’s Healing and Transformation)

Another highlight from the book is Dr. Alsterberg’s discussion on the importance of becoming better stewards of this planet. He notes with a sense of urgency on how to become better individuals working together if we are to face the challenges of an ever-changing world. According to Alsterberg, we need to shift our collective consciousness to transform the world into a much better habitat. Otherwise, we doomed ourselves to catastrophic changes, including wars, economic and political chaos. His book also calls on us to become morally and spiritually responsible.

Overall, Healing and Transformation: Moving from the Ordinary to the Extraordinary offers many insights and significant tools we need to heal and transform our individual self and society, and the whole world as a whole. It is an important work that we should take time to read and understand.
