Doris Lance, author of Botanical Reflections, photographs wildflowers in their natural environment while logging over 5,000 miles on foot. Trekking below sea level in Death Valley, California to over 11,000 feet in Patagonia, Chile, she found flowering treasures which is shares and includes in her book, Botanical Reflections.
The numerous discoveries, sketched in black and white, appear in Botanical Reflections, along with a encouraging quote and space to write about what thoughts and feelings of each day and also to gain inspiration for the reader.

Currently an Emeritus instructor at Cuesta College, in California, she acquired a bachelor of arts degree from Western Carolina University, in Cullowhee, N.C., as well as specialized graduate studies.
