 Botanical Reflections by Doris Lance

What do you get when you combine an avidhiker, and a naturalist, who is also an explorer?

Doris Lance, author of Botanical Reflections, photographs wildflowers in their natural environment while logging over 5,000 miles on foot.  Trekking below sea level in Death Valley, California to over 11,000 feet in Patagonia, Chile, she found flowering treasures which is shares and includes in her book, Botanical Reflections.

The numerous discoveries, sketched in black and white, appear in Botanical Reflections, along with a encouraging quote and space to write about what thoughts and feelings of each day and also to gain inspiration for the reader.

The Isle of Skye, Scotland; the Machu Picchu trail in Peru; Mount Fuji, Japan; Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest, California; plus Patagonia, Chile, the list exploring continues as she has been off-the-beaten path as a wondering nomad.

Currently an Emeritus instructor at Cuesta College, in California, she acquired a bachelor of arts degree from Western Carolina University, in Cullowhee, N.C., as well as specialized graduate studies.

Doris has an affinity to wellness. She “walks the walk” which is beautifully illustrated in her book.
