C.S. Lewis is known for his fantasy series The Chronicles of Narnia. However aside from his fantasy adventure books, he is also known for his Christian apologetics which includes Mere Christian, Miracles, and The Problem of Pain, all non-fiction works. Lewis also published a fiction apologetic novel entitled The Screwtape Letters. It is composed of 31 letters that follow the story of Screwtape, a devil who works in the “bureaucracy of Hell”. Screwtape acts as a mentor to Wormwood, his nephew who is a newbie “tempter”. It is one of C.S. Lewis’s interesting works aside from Narnia as it talks about the nature of man, and selfishness and power as the only real virtues, from the devil’s vantage point.
