How does one choose an inspiring, life-changing author, leading you to strive for success and, most importantly, a person with faith in God? First, you should determine whether Audrey A. Thomas offers the type of books you want to read. She has been featured on the prestigious TV program, Profiles with Ian Boyne, TVJ Studios Jamaica WI; Video Alley with Suzie Q. CVM Studios Kingston Jamaica WI; CTVN1.COM TV New York, NY; Public Access Television with FutureGrads, Inc. New York, NY; TV2 Denmark News, Channel 12 News, New York; Channel 7 News New York, Channel 7 News New York, AMC Newspaper, New York, the Fresh Start Programme on Newstalk Radio 93 FM with Delano Seivwright and Sharon Hay-Webster, CPR Radio with Sharon Gordon and Brother Carlisle, D’WRAP on CVM TV with Saudicka Diaram; and At Sunrise on CVM TV with Professor Verene Shepherd, Patria-Kaye Arons, and Rohan Daley to name a few. She has also been the guest speaker at several Churches, Intellectual forums, and various community meetings.

Audrey Thomas was named Community Woman of the Year for 2014 by Halfway Tree Association Inc.; Mother of the year for 2014 by Wake Up Radio, with Carl B. Moxie was the recipient of the Linkage Award for the Best Legal Program 2014. She is a lawyer by profession, graduated from St. John’s University School of Law in 2000, where she earned a Juris Doctor Degree. Mrs. Thomas is the lead attorney at the firm in Queens County, known as THE LAW OFFICES OF AUDREY A. THOMAS, PC, specializes in criminal defense, civil litigation, juvenile crimes, immigration, appeals, divorce custody/support, amongst others. Because of her dedication to the profession, she contributes to the setting of the New York State Criminal standard of review for suppression of evidence in cases involving the search of the person, seizure of evidence, and pursuit of the individual. She successfully prosecuted these issues before the Honorable Justice Goldberg in the State of New York Kings County Supreme Court.

After that, Audrey wrote the winning briefs that were presented to the Appellate Division Second Department and the New York State Court of Appeals after the Kings County District Attorney’s Office appealed Justice Goldberg’s ruling. Ultimately, Mr. Thomas’ tremendous efforts resulted in the now precedential ruling in the case of People v. Cadle.

However, each of us has our ups and downs in life, Audrey A. Thomas herself is not exempted and encountered a trial of alleged stealing more than $200,000 from a client after selling a Brooklyn home. Audrey Thomas turned herself into law enforcement on July 29 and was charged with second-degree grand larceny. She was released on her recognizance and ordered to return to court on Sept. 12. The report says that could put her in prison for 15 years if convicted.

“The defendant, in this case, was trusted to handle a complex real estate sale and to hold the money in escrow on behalf of her client,” said acting District Attorney John M. Ryan. “Instead, the lawyer is accused of slowly siphoning funds from the bank account. Over time, the cash in that account was depleted to nearly nothing. This defendant is alleged to have acted without regard for her client to benefit her greed. Such alleged actions cannot go unpunished.”

Even when things will go upside down and turn against us, experiences in life will teach us hard lessons and realizations that we could share with everyone to be inspired. Get motivated and change lives; that is how Audrey A. Thomas can be chosen as the kind of author one should be looking for.
