Choosing God: Embracing Love Over Self-Will

A Closer Walk with God from the very beginning, we were made in the image of God. Yet we have a conflict within us to desire to do what we want, thus man fell away. For we were made with a choice. God wants us to choose Him, not because we have to, but out of love for our Creator. 

The book of Genesis shares with us how important we are to Him. It follows those who chose to walk with Him. Because of their walk, they have become more intimate with Him. And God has rewarded them in taking care of them. It is more than just knowing God, it is to experience Him. We can do this through talking to Him and listening to Him. We build this relationship on love, trust and a deep respect for Him.

Years in the Making: Characters That Mirror My Own Journey

I have been working with this book off and on for years. The characters have always enticed me to be more like them. Each character represents a different area of my life, which I have tried to incorporate in my book. 

Last year I retired from nursing but needed something to replace my activity. I thus chose writing as I enjoy studying. But I wanted to do more than just writing, I want to encourage others to have that close relationship with our Lord. So I have dedicated my writings to inspire and encourage those who read it. I have gone from teaching of physical needs (nursing) to that of spiritual.

A Guiding Hand: Finding Faith and Family in the Church

My neighbor invited me to church when I was a lad. When I got into the youth group, the minister took me under his arm to encourage me and to be the father that I didn’t have while growing up. He encouraged me and I became a student of the Bible and have been enjoying studying ever since then.

Currently I am working on a sequel to this book, Our Promise Land, which follows the book of Exodus. I have always enjoyed the Old Testament and want to apply the lessons that they were to learn to our lives of today.

Echoes of Faith: Preserving the Spirit of Old Hymns

I also enjoy the old hymns and have incorporated them in my writings as well. The authors of these hymns wrote them down for what they were going through. They wanted to share with others, to inspire others of their closeness with their Lord. So I want to pass on their message as well as embellish my writings as well. 

My goal is to inspire those who are desiring a devotional book. It can be used as a personal devotion, and also for a group. 

Those who have read it have had a hard time putting it down. They also shared with me that they will need to go through it again, for I incorporate a lot of scripture. It appears that the message is simple but profound. Hopefully the more you dig into it, the more gems you will find to strengthen your walk.
