13 Miles North

Thank you to Author’s Lounge for the Opportunity to give more information regarding my book! I am thrilled be featured, and give my potential fans some further insight!

My name is Christina Lynne, and 13 Miles North is my first published work.

Now, to answer the burning questions that are on every potential reader’s mind.

What is my book all about?

13 Miles North is a Paranormal Drama.  It recounts the story of Dakota and Solange, a young couple who meet by chance when Dakota moves in next door to Solange. Dakota thinks that a man lives next door until one night; an unforeseen event forces their path to cross. The two strike up a friendship, and eventually a romance.  When things get serious in their relationship they decide to look for a place that the can call their own, together. After some searching, they find what they think will be the perfect fixer upper acreage that they can slowly improve together. The couple experiences many ups and downs in the course of their relationship growing.  They do eventually get married.

As they live on the acreage, and make improvements, unexplainable things begin to happen.  Dakota seems to change.  As a result, their relationship changes.  Things continue to escalate.

Is the dream acreage becoming a nightmare?

Is there something more than meets the eye regarding the farm?

Were the rumors about the original owners of the farm more than rumors?

Can Dakota and Solange save their marriage, or is their happily ever after doomed?

What inspired you to write the book?

This book was inspired by some very real events in my own life. During a very difficult period of my life I experience a divorce, the loss of my dream job, moving from the country back into town, and the death of my best friend. These events are fictionalized in this book.  The book was a way for me to explain away the events that occurred during that time in my life.  It was a very emotional book to write. It allowed me to heal as I wrote. The supernatural element of the book is my way of explaining the unexplainable.

What is your target audience for the book?

The target audience of this book is anyone who has ever lived through the painful demise of a relationship. It has turned my mess into a message.  While the supernatural portion of the book will keep fans of that genre entertained, the dramatic portion will touch the hearts of anyone who has been through a similar experience.

What do you hope readers could get out from your book?

I hope the book can help readers deal with their own difficulties as they read.  My real hope is that it reaches at least one person who it can help. I also hope that it will leave the reader wanting more.

What are your future goals/plans for the book?

I intend to keep marketing the book on as many Social Media Channels as possible on a regular basis.

Currently I have a Facebook Author page under Christina Lynne Writes and an Instagram page under christinalynnewrites that I update at least three times a week.

13 Miles North is also available on at the following Amazon Link https://www.amazon.sg/13-Miles-North-Christina-Lynne/dp/1304605183

At this time, I have a total of four live book sales / signings scheduled, including one craft fair.  I am awaiting details on two more.  I have also created a marketing spreadsheet, which I will continue to add to.  Several Independent Book stores from this list have already agreed to consign the book, in two different states.  I also have books in two local locations.

I have applied to be a presenter and / or an exhibitor at the upcoming South Dakota Festival of Books.

I intend to continue promoting my book continuously to make it a well-known success.

Books two and three are already in progress. “Cecil’s Story” will be a prequel, featuring the villain of 13 Miles North. Dark Eyes will be a sequel featuring everyone’s favorite characters from 13 Miles North in a new Supernatural adventure.
