After searching high and low in Toshi’s yard, the group discovers that the ball isn’t missing after all—it has rolled into a hole between the fence that separates Toshi’s yard from Pete’s yard. This discovery brings not only relief but also laughter and joy as the friends celebrate their teamwork and problem-solving skills.

The inspiration for Toshi and the Missing Ball-y comes from my own dog, Toshi, a lively Pomeranian who has a knack for “losing” his ball in the most unexpected places. Watching him search for his beloved toy, only to find it moments later, gave me the idea to turn his playful antics into a story. It was only natural to pair his real-life personality with fictional friends to create a world where his adventures could teach valuable lessons about friendship and teamwork.

I am Dina Ezzeddine, an author with a passion for creating meaningful and entertaining stories for children. In addition to Toshi and the Missing Ball-y, I have recently published my second book, I AM LEBANESE. This book is aimed at educating and encouraging children to explore different countries and understand diverse cultures, fostering curiosity and appreciation for the world around them.

I hold a BA in English and Visual Arts and Design, which allows me to combine creative storytelling with an eye for imaginative visuals. When I’m not writing, I’m spending time with my dog, Toshi, whose playful nature and endless curiosity inspire much of my work.

My love for storytelling, the arts, and cultural exploration drives my mission to craft books that spark joy, curiosity, and learning in young readers and their families. Through my books, I aim to entertain while also delivering meaningful messages that children can carry with them as they grow.
