The Freedom Tonic: Attaining True Freedom Inward

My book, “The Freedom Tonic: Personal Sense Experiences”. It’s about true freedom and how to make it work for an individual to live the best life. It explores the process of attaining freedom inward as pertaining to the individual person, making one free from various entanglements, such as the prevailing dominant herd mentality about salvation and the best life.

What inspired me to write the book?

“No one with a good heart will taste a good wine and opt for a tasteless one.”

During the period of covid-19 pandemic in 2021, it was like I tasted the good win and called it “The Freedom Tonic”. I’m inspired to write the book by the experiences I got. I gained “personal sense experiences” and began to live the best life. I was set free from the prevailing dominant “herd mentality”. The content of the book is how freedom works for me.

What is my target audience for the book?

My target audience is adult believers or non-believers who desire individual freedom. A reader who tastes the truth will have “personal sense experiences” and start taking freedom not for granted. The taste of the freedom tonic is, “Freedom is the position of authority to know.”

What do I hope readers could get out of the book?

I hope anyone that opts for “The Freedom Tonic” and tastes it with an open heart, will have experiences different from that of the prevailing dominant “herd mentality”. Most of the time, multitudes are not right. For instance, 1 Galileo Galilei (1564 — 1642) was an Italian astronomer who was condemned in Rome for publishing the view that the Earth revolves around the Sun. Many others, like 2 Descartes, feared and could not publish some of their “thoughts” when the condemnation of Galileo was not retracted. And a lot of researchers have proved that the Earth truly revolves around the sun. So, who was right, Galileo or Rome? Here’s the kicker for the reader to think and reflect upon:

Can you stand with your “thoughts” even if there is no harmonious concord to your personal sense experiences?

Inner freedom is a unique authority that produces personal sense experiences. If you can stand when no one agrees with your view, then you have inner freedom. I hope that readers will stop throwing away their thoughts when no one agrees with them. The taste of the freedom tonic is, “Whoever that throws away thoughts buries the truth” and “The truth hurts to sanctify.”

What are my future goals or plan for the book?

The best life is my goal for everyone! Future plan for “The Freedom Tonic: Personal Sense Experiences” is to distribute it across the continents of the world via various mediums so that anyone who tastes the freedom tonic could gain personal sense experiences to have the best life, irrespective of religion or ethnicity. What then is the best life?

Exploring the Essence of a Good Life

A good life is the best life! But what is a good life? By the nature of our human existence, the best life is the life derived inward, and that is a good life. A good life, according to Plato, 3 involves living in harmony with one’s inner nature and understanding the true nature of reality. This is what I called “personal sense experiences.” Aristotle’s answer to the question of “What is a good life”, 4 is that the best life comes from immortality. But we are distracted from living a good life in our vicinity. Immortality is inward and it is closer when we live philosophical life rather than voluptuary life and political life that the environment offers us.

Embracing a Philosophical Life for Meaning and Self-Discovery

It’s through philosophical life we can find meaning to our existence. It is through philosophical life we can acknowledge our position and authority. It is through philosophical life we can develop our mind to access the tree of knowledge; not just to receive and consume but to give and produce. It’s through philosophical life we can discover who we truly are as a people and believe in it to fulfill our purpose in life. Everyone has to redefine his own way of life and not just live the luxury and social life that the world offers.

Just to share some details about me. I’m a Nigerian and a believer for more than three decades. Academically, I have a master’s degree in Mathematics Education and I’m a high school Mathematics teacher in middle East Asia. Ever since I gained inner freedom in 2021, I have become a consistent writer to publish my thoughts. I have other books published, among which is, “Living by Thoughts: Creating a Lasting Reality”. Published by Austin Macauley Publishers Ltd.
