The Adventures of Tinkerbell, Clarita and TomTom by TCT Cooper

The Adventures of Tinkerbell

It is more challenging than you think to sit down and write about oneself without sounding like you have a head and ego larger than Humpty Dumpty before falling off the wall. But hay Ho, here I go. I grew up in Felixstowe, a charming coastal town in Suffolk, UK, famously known as Constable Country, with my two younger brothers.

Not the most enthusiastic child when it came to school in my early years. Art, Drama, storytelling, and sports were the subjects that nudged my interest. After completing my education at Orwell high school, I used my creative abilities in the direction of a Hairdressing apprenticeship. I later studied to become a teacher of Hairdressing.

In 1990 my son was born, and seven years later, my daughter. We lived in Spain and Africa and have now settled in Germany. I work in a hospital cleaning while pursuing my writing and painting career. Additionally, I contribute to the community as an active member of the voluntary Fire service in Germany.

I primarily write children’s books incorporating my sense of fun, love, laughter, and lust for life into my writing.

I also write fantasy/romance and poetry. Alongside my writing, I enjoy spending time with my family and close friends, Yoga, meditation, and painting, letting the brush flow and seeing what evolves. Gardening and long walks with my two rescue dogs, Lady, and Luna, help me feel at peace with the world.

My first Children’s book, The Adventures of Tinkerbell Clarita and TomTom, was published this year through Austin Macauley Publishers UK.

It is a series of books I plan to introduce to schools and children’s clubs by visiting and reading to classes and groups. I have set up a website, www.tctcooper.de, where parents/teachers can subscribe to newsletters and competitions. One day I hope these books will become beloved must-haves with a target audience of children aged 2-10 years old and inspired by the times when I used to create fairy stories and adventures for my children. Their unwavering belief in my abilities and constant encouragement gave me the confidence to put pen to paper.

The book centres around the adventures of three unusual friends incorporating fun, laughter, steadfast morals of friendship, trust, and the acceptance that not everything is black and white.

In this adventure, Tinkerbell is unhappy as her shoes are squeaking. The trio embark on a quest to Mr. Mizzi’s Garage to acquire new shoes for Tinkerbell. The narrative carefully introduces the characters’ distinct personalities to the readers: As a parent, it is crucial to instill a sense of self-confidence in your children while also teaching them to respect the opinions, feelings, and beliefs of others.

Not an easy line to follow; the task can be daunting, particularly with social media and peer pressure often diverting young children in their most informative and impressionable years. These stories serve as a valuable resource for parents looking to guide their children through life’s obstacles with gentle support rather than forceful coercion.

Tinkerbell, Clarita, and TomTom cannot wait to hear from you.

Happy reading.
