Social networking is commonly linked to online communications via social networking sites and technological gadgets. However, in this context, we would want to adopt the definition of Psychology Today that refers to social network as “both to a person’s connections to other people in the real world and to a platform that supports online communication.”

The United States is a melting pot of various cultures and races from around the globe. With that in mind, the American Library Association Annual in Washington DC this June will gather different peoples of the world once again. Originally, the event is prepared for librarians and library staff, but it is extended to all stakeholders in the industry of creating and managing books worldwide. That includes authors, university professors, social advocates, journalists, celebrities, publishers, designers, and bibliophiles alike.

The 2022 ALA Annual offers exceptional opportunities to connect with authors, book publishers, and marketing experts. New writers can learn from the experiences of all-time and bestselling authors in the creative process of crafting a literary gem. On the other hand, authors can connect with reliable publishing and marketing companies for the cost-effective publication and promotion of their masterworks.

Social networking, in this sense, can be done online and offline. The ALA organizers have prepared onsite marketing opportunities through sessions, book signings, author meet-ups, speaking engagements, and more. They also stage virtual events where you can join and meet personalities online.

ReadersMagnet put up the ALA Online Companion Event where you can find mini-bios, book covers and descriptions, teaser videos, website links, and social media profiles for featured book authors. Feel free to contact us to learn more about this initiative.

If you’ll be attending the ALA Conference and Exhibition at the Walter E. Convention Center in Washington DC, you can also find the ReadersMagnet’s booth intended for displaying about 133 books. We have also scheduled some authors for book signing from June 24 to June 26, 2022.

It’s now your time to strengthen your connections and broaden your network. We look forward to seeing you online and offline for this big event. Contact us for details!
