Servants Heart by Jamie Pulos-Fry emphasizes that people can embody how God is faithful by serving and helping others. For people who have no means of extending a helping hand, these aren’t the only ways how.
Faithfulness is a value given the most significance in people’s lives. It’s something that provides them with countless benefits and rewards. This faithfulness isn’t only measured by how people behave towards others and their relationships. It also entails how they stand by their religious beliefs.
In the book Servants Heart by Jamie Pulos-Fry, the author describes the concept of faithfulness by connecting it with God. She accounts that since God is constant in His words and promises, He encompasses the fruit of faithfulness. Thus, God is faithful.
Besides defining what it is, Jamie also expounds on her experiences when she demonstrates how it is to be faithful to God. The way she achieved this was by being a servant and helping others. However, not everyone has the luxury and privilege to be compassionate and empathic to others. Given other people’s limitations and stubbornness, reaching out to help others can be challenging.
Fortunately, there are other subtle ways to demonstrate faithfulness to Him. Here are some of them.
Pray. Pray. Pray
Prayer is the most powerful demonstration of people’s faithfulness to God. When faithfulness means standing by His side and serving life for Him, having a constant stream of communication is vital. This is the significance of prayer in people’s lives. It serves as a transparent means of communication with God.
If people are looking for a way to express their love and faithfulness to him, praying is a perfect way. It shouldn’t only be done when one needs something. Instead, they must pray when they want to share something about their days, whether positive or negative.
Additionally, prayers shouldn’t only be for the one asking. They can also include asking for blessings for everyone around them. Prayers shouldn’t be limited to an individual. Instead, it should be shared. Faithfulness to God means being considerate about others, as well.
Steadfast Belief
Being faithful to the Lord means standing by His side no matter what. This means believing in Him and His plans, even though everything might look unfocused at the moment.
He is humanity’s creator, savior, and father. Hence, it’s a given that people should believe in Him. No creator or father would ever wish demise for His children. And faithfulness means believing in this ideology, even while everything else seems to be falling apart.
This can be difficult, especially at times of extreme challenges. But by believing everything happens for a reason, these hardships will pass in a breeze.
Stick To What’s Right
People must adhere to what is right in relation to having a steadfast belief. If God is faithful, living in His likeness is only suitable. And this is to live a life of righteousness.
People are faced with decisions every day. They are constantly challenged with their morals and will. They can be presented with a more accessible option but achieved with immoral behavior, while the other can be riddled with hardships but is the presupposed right option.
They must always choose what’s right. Even though the path toward it is tough, what’s right is always the correct answer.
Live By God’s Words
If God is faithful, then living by His image and words is an excellent way to exhibit value. Verbally acclaiming faithfulness and love to God shouldn’t be enough. Words weigh close to nothing without actions.
If one aims to show love, then one needs to show it. This can be done by obeying his commands and living by His words. Follow the messages He has left in the Bible. People must live life in the same way He has lived His. Be a splitting image of Him that people begin to embody faithfulness.
Share the Love
What people do to others, they are doing to Him.
To live by the belief that God is faithful means being kind and loving to others. He watches over everyone and observes how they are with their brothers and sisters. Remember that God exists in everyone. Hence, if one acts cruelly to others, this only means they’re cruel to God.
