How to Find Treasure is a captivating non-fiction book about ways to find valuable objects. The book includes methods for antiquing, collecting, gem hunting, and metal detecting.
How to Find Treasure contains inspirational tales of missing treasures and people who have found fortunes. An example of a treasure discovery includes a woman who found a sparkling diamond. According to Arkansas State Parks, a retired Colorado woman discovered a 3-carat diamond at Crater of Diamonds State Park in 2018.
How to Find Treasure includes an interview with an employee of the Superstition Mountain Museum.
According to Legend, The Lost Dutchman Mine could be in the mountains East of Apache Junction, Arizona. Prospector Jacob Waltz is said to have brought out loads of gold from a productive gold mine in the area. The Superstition Mountains are rugged terrain and hikers and backpackers should never go into the mountains unprepared.
I hope my readers can learn about antiquing and collecting.
How to Find Treasure includes information about collecting antiques and collectibles. Readers are inspired to search for their own treasures. Purchasing valuable items at a low price and holding on to them can mean an increase in the items value. It is best to sell the antique or collectible when the market for a particular item is strong.
Remember, an antique or collectible is only worth what someone will pay for it. However, selling an item at a pawn shop isn’t recommended because of the low prices offered. It is best to find comparable items in eBay’s sold listings for an idea of an items price. Costly appraisals aren’t recommended unless there is a very valuable item.
I was inspired to write the book because of my passion for the hobbies of treasure hunting, antiquing, and collecting.
I wanted to entertain readers with tales of missing and found fortunes and inform readers about the hobby of treasure hunting.
The author’s treasure discoveries includes a gold ring, Tecolate pottery worth about $60, and numerous antiques. Terri found $300 hidden in an antique sewing machine. The antique belonged to a relative’s deceased grandmother.
The target audience is teens and adults. Beginners, Intermediate, and advanced treasure hunters are invited to read the book.
Anyone interested in treasure hunting, antiquing, and collecting is welcome to read the book.
