Hellbound by K K Weakley

Hellbound, winner of the Literary Titan Book Award and Readers’ Favorite is book 2 in the Sekhet Saga,

The well-loved and cringe-worthy return of old and new characters, pull the reader in all directions. The remote Werewolf pack accompanied by the long passed over native American Tribe of Montana offer a glimpse of the demon Sekhet’s reach.  Molly Patterson, yet again finds herself held to an outstanding self-sacrificing debt to the Lucifer himself.

Joe, Molly’s soulmate is on the search for answers in the ‘normal world’ to save her from Lucifer who waits impatiently for Molly’s decent. All the while The Sisterhood bonds together in their branching out of darker spells.

In the wilds of Montana, the werewolf pack deals with the hell demon Sekhet who has showed herself once again. Werewolves, witch covens and hell demons draw the reader into a spellbound world of demons, werewolves, vampires and a full cast of Supernatural’s who are impossible to resist.

As an Occult Horror/Magical Realism author, I have tried to demonstrate the ability of creating a world that not only entertains, but also challenges the reader to think deeply about the world around them.

Inspired, and drawn to the idea of exploring the unknown and inexplicable, while also inspired by other horror writers such as Stephen King or Clive Baker. I have also enjoyed Kelley Armstrong as a softer side of this genre. Born and reared in Wexford Ireland, where folklore pulls you into the most wonderful of places, growing up within the grounds of castles, it is not hard to understand the want to create a suspenseful and compelling narrative.

Horror and fantasy genres have captured the imaginations of readers for centuries. The blending of horror, fantasy and occult with the desire to explore complex themes and ideas are in themselves intriguing. The fascination with the unknown can be a powerful source of inspiration.

There are many inspirations I wish the reader’s of Hellbound and this Sekhet Saga experience. As an author, I hope to leave readers with a sense of wonder and intrigue about the world around them. A thrilling, suspenseful read that keeps them on the edge of their seats waiting of the next ‘Holy crap’ moment. Occult Horror/Magical Realism often explores complex themes related to the human experience, of fear, new perspectives on the impossible. Hellbound, I hope to a reader is both familiar and fantastical in elements of magic and supernatural wonder.

My target audience for this book would include readers who are interested in exploring the darker, more mysterious aspects of the supernatural world. Those drawn to the complex themes related to human nature; of good and evil. Challenging the perceptions of reality and pushing the boundaries of what readers believe what can and is truly real in this world and the next.

My hopes in the future for Hellbound is to build and developing a cohesive and engaging series as the stories of these characters continue. To continue to engage readers with thought-provoking stories, hence leaving a lasting impact as I grow in this genre. Keeping a loyal base of readers, all the while pushing on the foundation to bring Hellbound to a new audience through other mediums. To see Hellbound as a mini-series is a dream one can only hope for.

Growing up in Ireland, exposed to a rich tradition of storytelling rooted in history and folklore, of myths and legends, ghost stories passed down, it is hard not to assume that influenced my interest to write. Overall, my want to write, to put my thoughts down on paper is a strong combination of my upbringing tapping into the unique cultural tales, and a deep want to entertain.

In a household where each member is valued for their unique strengths and talents, where everyone was encouraged to express themselves freely and pursue their goals and aspirations, my parents set a positive example of how to grow and thrive.

For many, the dream to leave a lasting legacy through their work, whether by creating a series of books, influencing future writers, or contributing to fun book related conversations can be incredibly fulfilling.
