Magical Mayhem in ‘Frowns and Gowns’: A Stand-Alone Adventure

Frowns and Gowns is the fifth book in my Mischief Series. Though it is part of the series, each book can be read as a stand-alone book. Frowns and Gowns takes readers on a magical journey filled with laughter, excitement, and, of course, a touch of mayhem with Lilly, Boris, and Jack.

In this thrilling new adventure, Lilly, Boris, and Jack find themselves planning a magnificent magical ball. As with any mischievous tale, disaster strikes unexpectedly! Brace yourself for a whirlwind of mishaps as these three friends navigate through hilarious challenges and unexpected twists.

Inspired by My Mother’s Love of Fairies

My mom’s love of fairies inspired me to write the series. In England, fairies were very popular. She collected fairies as I do now and had a lovely fairy garden. Lilly, the main character, is inspired by a beautiful figurine she had by her bed.

Creating a Graphic Novel for Traffic Safety Education

One of the most unique projects I’ve had the privilege to work on was a graphic novel for the Driving on the Right Side of the Road Program. This initiative, developed by the Law-Related Education Department of the State Bar of Texas Law Focused Education, Inc., and the Texas Municipal Courts Education Center, aims to promote responsible decision-making regarding traffic laws and safety.

My graphic novel, titled What If … A Story of Shattered Lives, was adapted into a reader’s theater script for as few as five speakers or as many as twenty-six, further extending its educational reach.

Engaging Adventures for Young Readers and Storytellers

The target audience for this book and series is independent reading second to fourth grade, and parents, teachers, caregivers, and anyone who loves to read out loud chapter by chapter to kids. I hope readers enjoy the magical world I have created for them, an escape, with a few giggles and gentle life lessons to share with others.

Author Spotlight: Sharing My Journey and Award-Winning Series

Thank you, Authors’ Lounge, for posting this article and allowing me to share my fantasy series for kids. I’ll start with a little bit about me and my writing journey. I was born in England, moved to Texas, and still reside there. I’ve written in multiple genres but love writing my Mischief Series for kids.

I’m a Gold Recipient of The Mom’s Choice Awards® (MCA), earning the award in multiple categories, and a multiple Gold Medal winner of the Readers’ Favorite International Book Awards. I’ve also earned a New Apple Literary Award and a first-place North Texas Book Festival award.

I am currently writing book six of the series. It’s such a joy to write—absolute fun. I will release it later this year. Exciting! You may find Frowns and Gowns at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, my website, or your favorite online retailer.
