Art is everywhere. From the books people read down to murals travelers drive by daily, art greatly impacts how the world looks and develops. How art changes measure how culture has changed and how sophisticated it has become. In shorter terms, art encompasses culture and society. It reflects how humans have been, influencing how they connect and relate to each other.
Art holds such a massive role in society. It beautifies and makes the world a more livable place. Hence, it’s only essential that society acknowledges art and artists as much as it can.
A Means for Artists to Gain Recognition
Artists can continue creating art without recognition. Having no audience won’t stop them from creating new pieces. But if they wish to tell a story or convey a message, having eyes focused on their works would be most beneficial. However, society often fails to recognize artists unless they make a bold statement to introduce themselves. Even with social media and technology, most fail to break it to the industry without becoming viral.
Various indie artists don’t get enough recognition despite their talents and skills. Because of this, being an artist is slowly becoming a gamble. Gaining a reputation as an artist can be a hit or miss depending on how they approach their audience. Most enter the industry through the market, selling their artwork at fairs or art events. Others open studios where they can share their talent with others through classes and, likewise, sell their artworks.
Artist Jeanne Tiefenbach-Henderson, however, broke through the scene by doing both.
