Monique Boyd is the author of Jasmine: A Woman of Color and the rest of the Divine book series.

The Festival of Storytellers 2021 is barely a week from now. TFOS 2021 is ReadersMagnet’s first-ever virtual book fair. Monique Boyd is among the participants of the said fair, which will run from April 23rd to April 25th and April 30th to May 2nd, 2021. In the past, we have featured Monique Boyd as well as her romantic thriller Jasmine: A Woman of Color. It is the first book in Boyd’s Divine book series. Today, we will revisit Monique Boyd and her works as part of our preview for ReadersMagnet’s The Festival of Storytellers 2021.

Monique Boyd began her literary journey just recently. After working many years in the corporate world, she finally wrote and published her first major work. Monique Boyd’s debut novel, Jasmine: A Woman of Color, was released in 2018. The book is a romantic thriller reminiscent of Nora Roberts and Laura Griffin’s novels. Although Jasmine: A Woman of Color can certainly pass for a standalone novel, we learned that it is part of a series that Monique Boyd is currently working on- the Divine book series.

Jasmine: A Woman of Color

Jasmine: A Woman of Color is a romantic thriller by Monique Boyd, published in 2018. It is Boyd’s debut novel and the first book in the Divine book series. In this book, we are introduced to Jasmine Moore, a newly widowed executive assistant. Before she lost Mike, Jasmine discovered her husband’s infidelities and promised to get even. However, she met the good doctor, Jason. They fell in love, and it seems that Jasmine is on her way to another chance at true love (Jasmine and Mike both have kids from their previous marriages). However, just as things were going smoothly for Jasmine, she discovers that someone is trying to kill her. Jasmine has no clue who or why someone is after her. To put an end to this, Jasmine decides to investigate and take matters into her own hands. The question is, will she be on time to save herself and her family?

Jasmine: A Woman of Color is not your ordinary romance mystery thriller, and readers are in for one exciting read with multiple plot twists and surprises.

Jasmine: A Better Love

Jasmine: A Better Love is book two of the Divine book series. We think it’s safe to say that the book is the sequel to Monique Boyd’s debut novel, Jasmine of Color. As of this writing, we have yet to gather a substantial update of the book. Jasmine Moore is the main character of Monique Boyd’s Jasmine franchise.

Jade and Fourth Book

According to her official author website, the Divine series also contains two more books. The third book is labeled “Jade,” while the title for the fourth book is yet to be announced. Both books do not have a publication date attached. As of this writing, no additional information was provided.

*we will update this article once additional information and update have been gathered.
