Exodus Arcon

Hello, my name is Janice Seagraves. I’ve been a published author since 2010, so for 13 years now. Oh my gosh, I didn’t know it had been so long, LOL.😊

My science fiction book Exodus Arcon had been recently published as a three-in-one. It’s about the planet Arcon and the people who live there, the Archons, who need to evacuate or Exodus their planet. Their unstable sun is about to go critical and destroy their planet. They escape in three big colony spaceships and cross the solar reaches of space to the small planet called Earth. Where they want to establish a colony and make it their new home.

Not everyone can come, and most have to rely on the lottery to win a seat on one of the three big ships.

But one family cheats.

The story starts off on Arcon with Keefe. And follows Keefe and his two brothers along the journey to Earth.

Keefe is proudly a domestic and adores his mate. His brother, a warrior named Blade, is part of their pod or triplets if you like. And their little brother, a future scientist named Paz, came with them.

Nothing is easy for the brothers, and they find themselves in one difficulty or another.

I had already written a story a little bit further along the timeline called Alien Heart. I’d been going through a complete revision with Alien Heart and even took a course working with an editor. The editor suggested that I change it from first person to a deep third person. I wrote the first three stories in the Exodus Arcon to get inside my aliens’ heads and understand who they were.  One of the things I love about writing romance is developing my characters and telling the story through their eyes. By writing the aliens’ story from before they left their planet and to their arrival on Earth, I hoped to be able to do just that.

I think anyone who loves science fiction with a touch of romance will enjoy Exodus Arcon. Of course, the later books in the series are more exotic romances. Currently, there are seven books total and that’s counting the first three stories in this three-in-one. Amazon has Exodus Arcon as book one for kindle unlimited, but Smashwords, Barn & Nobles, and a few others have the books separated into 3 books.

Each book in the Chronicles of Arcon can be read as a standalone since each story begins and ends with the same polyamorous group (reverse harem) or couple.

I have the series started. Exodus Arcon is the first three stories in the series. After this is Alien Desire a novella, and Alien Heart a full-length novel at 397 pages. The sixth book in the series, Alien Enslaved starts a kind of miniseries within the larger Chronicles of Arcon Series where Arcon warriors have been kidnapped to fight in the arena against monstrous aliens. Alien Collision is the story of a crash spaceship on a deserted planet where another Arcon has been staying and tending his flock, both Arcons end up competing for the same Earth woman. The next one, Alien Fury, will hopefully be out in 2023.

As to my background, I’m from the Central Valley of California. I grew up watching Lost in Space and Star Trek with my dad on our old black and white TV set. He loved taking the family camping during the summer months. I went fishing with my dad and used his homemade lures (I still have one), and one time I caught a fish that had two mouths.

I got the reading bug at around age thirteen. Yeah, I know I was kind of late to the game. But there is something profoundly wonderful about reading. The stories take you places where you have never been and have exciting adventures from the safety of your own home. I was sucked in. I love it and it wasn’t long until I started wanting to write stories of my own.

I’m currently living with my husband, daughter, and grandchildren in a small town. Most days it’s quiet and I can write my romances in the evening, but I do like to go to bed at a decent hour. I grow a veggie patch in my backyard raised bed every year, and the house we own has a tree that produces the best-tasting nectarines. 😊

I also enjoy taking photos and will post them to Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and short videos on TikTok and YouTube.

Bio: Janice Seagraves grew up with a deep love of science fiction and adventure stories. Always the consummate artist, she traded in her paintbrush for a desktop to write breathless life-affirming novels that celebrate enduring love.
