Author Insights

The inspiration for this book came from popular culture and the boundless moral implications of scientists unlocking AI, immortality, bionics, and organic tech I wanted to explore these themes in my book, so I dreamed up Magnus Faust, an organic bionic man whose world is shrouded in gray morality. While Edits is fundamentally a romance with spice, it also weaves in a compelling plot that explores deeper themes of power, morality, and transformation.

Themes and Analysis

This book poses questions about power and its distribution: who gets it, and what happens if it falls into the wrong hands? What does it mean to be moral in a world where figures like the Putins of the world gain immortality? Is allowing evil to live forever not the same as acting on evil? In addition to exploring power dynamics, the book delves into the importance of love as a transformative force. It discusses how love can shift our perception and challenge our ideas, acting as a catalyst for change.

This theme is central to the narrative, highlighting how relationships can influence decisions and alter the course of events. The romance at the heart of the story demonstrates that sometimes love has the power to overcome even the darkest aspects of human nature, prompting characters to question their values and motivating them to seek redemption.
