Choir Boy by Kelsie Ann Deschenes is a compelling narrative about what it means to be different and how faith pulls at the strings.

Introducing…

CHOIR BOY

Hello to all young readers and parents!

It’s that time of year; you’re between summer fun, camps, parties, and hopefully getting a day or two of catching enough downtime to read!

With all that’s going on in the world, and so many voices screaming for your attentions, I’d like to bring a youth fiction title to your attention that’s a quick, but important read.

I’m Kelsie Deschenes, a Family Life Educator, actively certified Health and Life Coach, a wife, new mom, and author of Choir Boy

It’s available at Amazon and Barnes and Nobles.

And I’d like to give you a quick snapshot on it to encourage you and your youth to give it a read!

PREMISE OF THE CHOIR BOY

Alfonso is an ordinary kid trying to find his way in life. But one thing sets him apart; he’s the son of a Nazi officer. Dad is a professional bully who thinks his way, race, and ideas are superior. Alfonso sees Dad getting a lot of recognition and positive attention for this. So he tries to emulate him…except he plays that out as a school bully.

Alfonso is sent to a boys boarding school to be taught how to be a better person. Then he meets someone that changes his life forever. This boy has everything Alfonso lacks; confidence, passion, an incredible voice…and Faith. Alfonso is drawn to him.

The only problem is…he’s a Jew.

Will the racial tension define the situation, or will Alfonso choose to be the bigger person? Will he accept Jacob’s proposal to teach him to sing in exchange for an end to the racial bullying? Dare Alfonso allow friendship to grow in his heart for someone different than him? And just perhaps…can Alfonso even find Faith?

THOUGHTS FROM THE AUTHOR

This book holds a great story line, was a lot of fun to write, and is just waiting for its chance to have a voice for today’s youth.

Please help me pass along the word. Coronavirus had halted book signings and workshops before they began.

Thankfully, it seems the sun will soon be shining upon signings and such. But in the meantime, I’d love to count on you readers to give this book a read!

Thank you for catching this post, and I hope you’re having a great summer.

Again, check out Choir Boy by Kelsie Deschenes at Amazon or request it online at Barnes and Nobles.

Choir Boy is an amazing book and I have been so blessed by reading this gem! The way it has helped me grow as a person is more than I can put into words! As someone who grew up in a racist and prejudice area as well as family, this book has helped me to challenge myself and grow as an individual and helped my walk with My Lord. This book is for people in all walks of life and I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially individuals who want a challenge to change, to stand up, and grow as an individual. Looking forward to the 2nd one in the series!
