Teresa Grant, alongside author and illustrator Deb Tilman, is proud to announce the release of their children’s book, Chester The Hungry, Happy, Dancing, Very Bad and Lovable Goat. As the title posits, it follows the main character, Chester, a brilliant, funny, and adventurous goat, as he goes on his first road trip. How will it go?
ReadersMagnet is more than honored to feature the book, sharing Chester’s wonderful and lovable adventures for our readers to laugh, love, and learn from.
Chester The Hungry, Happy, Dancing, Very Bad and Lovable Goat: What Is It About?
The story is based on an actual Chester, the goat, who lives his days in Blackshear Georgie with his other animal friends. Author Teresa has taken him as her muse for the fun children’s book, turning bits of reality into a humorous and enjoyable fictional take that children of all ages will enjoy. The book is the first of a series with Chester the Goat. Teresa Grant aims her collection to be filled with not only lovable and funny characters but also life lessons and skills for young children to learn and adopt.
Readers will learn about what it means to be kind, respectful, and self-disciplined while laughing at Chester’s antics and adventures alongside the other delightful animals that live with him.
The series’ first installment, Chester The Hungry, Happy, Dancing, Very Bad and Lovable Goat, follows Chester on his first road trip. Excited as he is, his experience doesn’t go the way he hopes it would be. Chester ends up being bullied by some bully goats, which is a lousy turnaround from his expectations. Fortunately, things start looking sunny when a kind stranger rescues him.
Kindness. Forgiveness. Hope and Humor. Readers will learn about these concepts and more as Chester gets into all kinds of trouble but remains the lovable and funny goat he is.
Aside from being an amusing book for children, the material is perfect for conveying values they should practice and adapt. Chester the Hungry, Happy, Dancing, Very Bad, and Lovable Goat will teach them the importance of perseverance, acceptance, and looking at the world a little more positively.

The second book will soon be coming out. It will continue Chester’s real-life adventures when he makes his trip to his new home on the farm, where he meets all of the animals. Mr. and Mrs. LoveAll of LoveAll Farms begin to realize just how mischievous Chester can be. Even though he can be so destructive and does things he shouldn’t do, the LoveAlls and the farm family love him. They help Chester know that he is now forever part of their farm family.
