The setting is in New York City. I visited the big apple back in 2004, yeah it’s been a long time, but I fell in love with Times Square and Central Park so I knew this story had to take place there. I wanted for Jessica to be awed by the beauty of the city at night. Yeah, I was trying to give Asher a chance to win her over.

And he did for a time. Being a controlling Incubus, he loses by throwing a man-tantrum and completely ruins his chances of having Jessica side with him. Which has Jessica and the others (I can’t mention many characters here . . . don’t want to give too much away) exploring the nightlife and getting into trouble with other creatures of the night.
