About the Author

Author Virgil C. Revish is an experienced motivational speaker, consultant, and mentor with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. Revish taught at junior high before joined the U.S. Army in 1976. He served in the United States Army for 3 to 5 years. After his military service, Virgil went back to his passion- students and teaching education.

Virgil Revish taught in Fairfax, Virginia, for four years and then worked at Petersburg Wastewater Treatment Plant, testing water samples and reading meters. In September 1993, Virgil Revish started a volunteer program called School Watch. It is a program that monitors the hallways, cafeteria, helps in the classrooms and works at school activities, and has more than 100 volunteers serving.

In 2000, Revish worked in an after-school program called Achievers Plus at the Children’s Home of Virginia Baptist. Today, Mr. Revish continues to find opportunities to serve students and the community and works with other visionaries and committed community leaders to encourage the youth.

Virgil Revish is the associate producer of “Pull Your Pants Up” project and video. It is a nationwide initiative designed to inspire the youth to be responsible and accountable. The project also encourages them to meet and exceed acceptable societal standards and to rise above the norm.
