The Miracle of Wendy Whimple
The Miracle of Wendy Whimple follows the story of a young girl named Wendy. She is the daughter of Michaela Vandemere Whimple. Wendy was born with a twisted, short left leg. This deformity cause Michaela to give away her daughter. Since then, Wendy has been under the care and guidance of her loving aunt and uncle. The couple soon discovered that Wendy has a special gift. It is the ability to heal creatures and she got it from a mysterious ball of light that calls itself the Guardian of Affliction. As the years passed by, Wendy’s power to heal animals becomes evident.
Wendy tries to hide her powers from the Pullo brothers who are known to be mean kids who like to shoot songbirds. One day, one of the Pullo kids got into a hunting accident and lost his one eye. He begs Wendy to help him recover his eyesight. Despite her earnest attempt, Wendy fails to heal him. Wendy later realizes that she cannot heal human beings. Distraught by her failure to help the injured brother, the Pullo brothers exact revenge by trapping Wendy in the woods and hurting her. Suddenly, the Guardian of Affliction appeared and frightened the brothers away. It was at this moment that Wendy’s mysterious friend decided to remove one give and replace it with another. This gift serves as the miracle of Wendy Whimple.
