Healing the wounded Soul: Healing Wounded Relationships

Released last December 2020, Healing the wounded Soul: Healing Wounded Relationships is the complete title of the fourth volume of Healing the Wounded Soul by Dr. Arline Westmeier. Just like the first three volumes, Healing Wounded Relationships deals with inner pains. However, the fourth volume highlights issues concerning relationships- friends, colleagues, community, and even within our brothers and sisters in faith. The book also emphasized the value of love and intimate relationships and how they form part of our whole being.

“Many of our relationships are in crisis. We have painful, unresolved relationships in our churches, with our neighbors, with our friends, in places of work. Friendships break up, marriages fall apart, and homes disintegrate. Why, if God himself made male and female as opposites but fully compatible and established marriage as a representation of human love and togetherness, then why is it so difficult to live together in a complementary way? Times of transition between the stages of life bring vulnerable times into the relationships. Leaving one stage for the next stage causes a sense of loss. Graduating from high school or college or going from single life to marriage or to the birth of children all bring losses. These losses must be grieved. If the transitions are not successfully completed, all future stages are jeopardized. In this book, Dr. Westmeier deals with taking steps to heal broken relationships such as how to ask forgiveness without accusing the other person, how to grieve our losses and how to successfully move forward into the next stage of life.”

Dr. Arline Westmeier provides remarkable insights and points for discussion to help readers understand more about relationships. Healing the wounded Soul: Healing Wounded Relationships book volume 4 by Dr. Arline Westmeier guides readers to the path of healing failed or broken relationships for them to move on and find serenity after. The book is a great complement to all the previous volumes.

About the Author

Dr. Arline Westmeier was raised from a dedicated Mennonite home. Her first commitment to Jesus was at the age of three and a half years old. Since then, Arline has always felt that her calling was to serve Jesus and be a missionary. She went to nursing school, but Arline’s mother suffered a massive brain hemorrhage weeks before her graduation. It rendered her too weak to speak and move, so Arline and her sister cared for their mother for three years. Nine weeks before her mother passed away, Arline’s father also died. The young Arline considered this chapter of her life as God’s three-year university course to prepare and equipped her with empathy for the sufferings and difficulties of other people.

Dr. Arline Westmeier is blessed with a son and a daughter who are now grown-ups. Westmeier also has two teenage grandsons. Since the death of her beloved husband in 2018, Dr. Arline Westmeier has been living in Grantsville, Maryland, in the beautiful Alleghany Mountains.
