Grandpa Nick was a very nice man and was known all over the neighborhood. Before his demise, a couple of neighborhood children had asked Nick to be their grandfather. Kind and generous, Grandpa Nick agreed to be their grandfather and for four months, Grandpa Nicks stood as a grandfather to these four young children until the time of his death. 

Lynda Daniele’s Grandpa Nick’s Bump is based on the story of her late husband, Nick, and how they struggled and cope up with the later’s deteriorating condition of meningioma. The book focused on Nick’s last remaining months particularly on his role as a grandfather to four neighborhood kids. Despite suffering from a huge tumor on the side of his head, good old Grandpa Nick performed his duty as a loving neighbor and grandfather to these kids, creating joyous and unforgettable memories with the kids. These moments made Grandpa Nick happy until the very end.

Author Lynda Daniele, O.P.  finished her Bachelor of Arts in music from Marymount College in Tarrytown, New York. She also holds a Master of Public Administration from American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts. Daniele worked as a public library trustee and also taught adult literacy in her hometown in Southwick, Massachusetts.

Lynda Daniele is also active in serving her local parish where she taught and has taught faith formation. Lynda is a lay sister in the Third Order of St. Dominic. Aside from spending time with family and friends, Lynda also enjoys the company of her Border terrier named Molly.
