Continuing the Apocalypse: Matt and Elle’s Survival Journey

Apocalyptic Euphoria II is a continuation of the first novel. Two lovers, Matt and Elle, are attempting to survive the nuclear apocalypse and all the dangers it brings with it. There’s a massive focus on the internal thoughts of the main characters as well as the main characters guessing the thought process of those they come across in a world consumed by atomic ash.

Sources of Inspiration: Exploring Influences from Literature, Games, and Personal Experience

One major influence was The Road by Cormac McCarthy, with its haunting depiction of a post-apocalyptic world that deeply resonated with me. Additionally, the richly detailed universe of Fallout: New Vegas contributed to my creative vision, providing a unique perspective on survival and storytelling. The film Children of Men also played a crucial role, offering a compelling and underrated take on dystopian themes that are close to apocalyptic in their intensity.

The Metro series, both the video games and books, further shaped my ideas with its dark, immersive portrayal of a dystopian reality. Finally, my own personal experiences and reflections lent authenticity and emotional depth to my writing, grounding the narrative in real-life insights.

In all honesty, the book is intended for a broad range of readers, but I would advise against recommending it to anyone under the age of 14 due to its graphic scenes. The content contains mature themes and detailed descriptions that may not be suitable for younger audiences.

Therefore, the book specifically targets adults and mature readers who can handle intense material. The book targets readers who appreciate complex narratives and are ready to engage with its mature subject matter.
