Grateful for the Opportunity: Supporting Indie Authors Together

Hello! I’d like to start by thanking “ReadersMagnet” for the opportunity to participate on their “Authors’ Lounge” platform. As a self-published author, it’s often difficult to find exposure for my work. Admittedly, I was beginning to put the dream on the back burner.

Thankfully, someone out there believed in my work. I hope that you also give my work a read, as well. While you’re at it, I encourage you to check out some other works shared on this site. You’ll be supporting the indie author community when you do.

A Fallen World

Imagine the world a thousand years from now. All of your worst dreams have come true.

Society has collapsed. Humanity is in a constant war with itself. Color has faded as smog chokes the skies and cold, cruel machinery overruns the ground. Nations have fallen under a single name: Drakoria.

What’s worse is that innumerable dark forces have breached our reality, bringing with them a deluge of tantalizing artifacts. Among them is a crimson stone called the Arcana. This stone is said to grant the wielder any power with a single wish, limited only by ambition and madness. Some claim that simply fixating on the stone can cause hallucinations than then lead to even greater and unimaginable strife.

As you’re surely guessed, overall premise for the story revolved around this stone. In

“Arcana in the House of Xyre”, demons and other malevolent races have entered our world in search of the stone, but humanity wishes to prevent them from using it to enact their will. Can humans be trusted, however? Could demons know something that we don’t? They speak of the shadow casters; cloaked figures who archive all that they’ve seen.

They were there to witness and record every world that has ever been birthed and fallen, right down to the final letter. They’re said to lurk in the dark tower known as the House of Xyre. In this 100 floor fortress, the stone is said to be kept. That’s not all. All of the most twisted races to ever be conceived dwell in there, and they’re guarding the stone from humanity.

The story follows a group of ragtag mercenaries known as the Drakorian Liberation Front. In a world fraught with those who seek to use the stone for evil, they seek to destroy it. Such is not an easy task. The tower has been enchanted with spatial magic, allowing each floor to grow far more expansive than the last. Whereas the first may appear like a standard dungeon in size, you’ll soon be facing galactic threats toward the top. That’s assuming, of course, that the demonic powers don’t thwart you first.

Will you fight to save humanity from its own follies? Or will you allow the dystopian crusade to break you under its iron heel?

Build Your Own Adventure

I’m a writer of many ideas. It’s both a blessing and a curse, as I often struggle to let anything go. I quickly realized that, unless I could somehow make more than pennies selling copies of my books, I wouldn’t be able to execute on everything that I envisioned. That’s when I decided to create something that compiled everything that I’ve ever fathomed and will ever fathom. That last bit will make sense soon enough.

There’s one big detail that I left out when detailing the tale’s premise. You’re a member of the Drakorian Liberation Front.

I wrote a dark fantasy series, a medieval space opera and a horror anthology. After all of this, I was beginning to feel stagnant. I didn’t have it in me to embark on another third person tale. All the while, I couldn’t cease my reveries of being part of my own adventures. That’s when I had the idea to make the reader a character in the story.

You’re not simply relating to your favorite character; you’re playing that very role. You get to explore that tower and bring all of your favorite friends with you. This is an RPG-inspired work where you’re given my premise for the story and run with it however you want.

I’ve created my stories. Now, it’s time for you to create your own.

Dungeons and Dragons, Anyone?

This book is for those with a restless creativity and a yearning to play the role of an adventurer. If your personality is a bit rough around the edges at times, or if that’s just the sort of person that you’d like to role-play, even better! In this gritty world, you’ll fit right in.

I created this project with the belief that readers might want to use it for a campaign setting and storyline in their favorite tabletop game. Given the hundreds of pages of entries within that detail just some of the numerous monsters, artifacts, traps, and locations that you might come across, there’s much to do and plenty to brew.

Bardic Songs

I hope to, perhaps, expand on this project more. As I alluded to before, if I come across any new ideas, I’ll add them with the intention of releasing a new edition of the book or something of that nature. What I’m really hoping for is to hear from you. Share images of your campaigning adventures on social media. Tag me. Tell me what you think of Drakoria. I’d be both thrilled and honored to share that on my platform for all to see.
