This mine field represent the world that we live in. the two soldier in the mine field represent the human race. Notice the large sign in the land mine in front of them warning them that their lives were in danger if they continued moving in the land field. There were two major serious problems facing them:

1. The individual leading, we will call the world paradigm because they did not have their glasses on and could not see the “truth” about the situation, condition and a circumstance about what was about to happen to their life. Their mind was not giving the right information by his eyes because he could not see clearly.
2. The second individual was asked by the first, “what does it say?” the second individual could not see the truth either about the sign warning them about the mine field and also would loose his life also. They did not have the true picture so they could make the right choices and decisions about their lives because both of their minds was giving incorrect information and as a result of this, their lives were in danger. The key to overcoming the land mines of life in your mind is the knowing the “truth.” The land mines of life are filled with lies, deceptions, fear, situation ethics, ideologies, and land mines described in the present time called perilous times discussed below.  

Wisest of all wise men said in: Matthew 15:14 King James Version (KJV)   14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.   This same wise man said in:   John 8:32 King James Version (KJV)   32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.   This wisest of all men name is Jesus Christ he saw this perilous time and He gave us a warning so that we could keep our mind at perfect peace. Listen to what the wise man said; you may not have the answer to your situation, but I am sure the wise man has. He promised this to you if you will listen to sound advice:Isaiah 26:3 King James Version (KJV) 3 Thou (Jesus) wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee (you): because he trusted in thee (you).  

This must be the last days because perilous times are here now and you know that for the truth. Just put your glasses on and you will see all the mines in the field that I will describe to you. Now like the two soldiers who no doubt would have been blown up by the land mines in the minefield. Likewise this world does have its glamour; it does have its allure. There is so much that we want and desire to have and accomplish. This world advertises, it markets, and gives us all kind of ideologies and it tries to pull us in through temptation! Remember the “KEY” to “ALL” Your experiences in your life both good and bad are right behind your “MIND.” The “TRUTH” is either you use your “MIND” or someone else will!!! This is our personal responsibility as an individual and a human being. It does not matter what your religion, race, culture, customs, way of life or you can fill in the blanks this book is for you.

The twenty-first century have brought many land mines called perilous times. The wisest of all men saw this coming and He gave us a warning. But know this he said, that in the last days perilous times will come: The phrase “perilous times” has various meanings. It means violent times, fierce times, demonic times. These are wild and difficult times, grievous times, hard-to-bear times. It means hard and rough (not tame), savage and evil (like a pack of wolves on the attack), very hard to deal with. These are dangerous and furious times! These are times that can ensnare and entrap our minds! You may ask the question, Why are times like this? There are many reasons why the human race has come to these perilous times. We will look at some of the reasons. Individuals will be lovers of them selves. They will be lovers of pleasure, self-centered and selfish.

They will be more concerned with themselves and not willing to put up with any discomfort. They will want their pleasure at the expense of others. This is the time in which we live. This is the end time. There will be people wandering around boasting and bragging. They will be insolent as they do wrong to others for the pleasure that they receive from the afflicting them. They will be proud; this word means puffed up and is often used of one who rejects God in his own mind and by his very conduct! They will be blasphemers and impious, which mean sinful, irreverent, wicked, immoral, irreligious, ungodly, and bad to be around.  They will be slow, sluggish, and stupid. They will be defiling and destroying the good names of others. They will disobedient to parents. They will willfully disbelieve and they will be unreachable. They will be unbelieving toward the Word of God. At this time mankind will be unthankful and ungrateful.

They will not appreciate what we have been given in neither this country nor any other country because these perilous times will globally and epidemic. Individual will be unholy and they will be detestable and they will hate any mention of God! Individual will be unloving and will be without natural affection. As we look at this world today we see what is done with little children: the abortions, babies dumped in trash cans or burned with cigarettes, being abandoned—they are without natural affection. They are without family love. They will be unforgiving trucebreakers. They are irreconcilable. These are they who refuse to lay aside their hatred and animosity toward others. They are in a constant state of war. They will be slanderers false accusers and they try and destroy the character of others. They will be without self-control. They will be brutal and fierce!

They will be despisers of good. They are unfriendly, hostile and they despise God. They are traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. They have a form of godliness but denying its power there of. They will be ever learning but never coming to the truth and from such people turn away! Did you ever ask what effect such perilous times have on keeping your mind? Will your mind be blown apart by the land mines of life? They weaken us! They cause us to lose strength and not be able to make good choices and decisions. They blind us to the reality of life and cause us to build a fool unhappy paradise. This is exactly the meaning of perilous times! Have you ever been so afraid that you could not function? I have been when I was in Viet Nam!

And this is what perilous times do to us. They take away our strength for living. Living through them is like traversing a minefield! Now here is an example of two men in our picture trapped by such a minefield. This is the society in which we live.
