Paul H. D’Anna was born on August 27, 1943, in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended St. Louis Cathedral Elementary School and De La Salle High School before earning a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from LSU. Early in his career, he worked as a programmer for IBM in Huntsville, Alabama, before holding positions at Shell Oil Company and Mobil Exxon. In 1992, Paul founded PC CONSULTANTS, his own business. After retiring in 2010, he turned his focus to growing mirlitons, a vegetable native to Louisiana.
