Face-to-Face with Papa draws you into a deeper awareness of the Presence of God. Why ‘Face-to-Face? In Hebrew there is no word for ‘presence’. When the Psalmist wanted to speak of God’s presence, he used the word for face. It implies a close and personal encounter with the Lord, Our Papa.
Hello, my name is Renate Maureen Goude and I am the author of Face-to-Face with Papa. Our journey with Papa is a lifetime of learning. We will never know everything and never be perfect. But it’s the heart that yearns and seeks after Him who is free. This book encourages a deeper desire to become spiritually mature and beautiful in His eyes. And the way to do this is to spend time with Him. Stop! Listen! Yield! Surrender. Allow Him to speak and guide. He is everywhere if we are willing to be aware. Moment by moment, He is waiting for you.
We hurry through life and often don’t take enough time to stop, allowing His words of hope, purpose, and love to flood us, sinking deep into our being, into our spiritual man, where Papa can then work in ways we can’t imagine. This is for Lovers of God, and people in all walks of life, young and old, all cultures, all humankind. He is calling you. Wanting the greatest love story to begin in your life. Our hearts, our spirits were created to be in tune with the Father. Without it…we flounder.

But let’s be honest, genuine, real here…it’s not easy. We fail, sometimes daily. Yet God stills loves us and even still wants to use us. Because as He sees our failures. He sees our triumphs even more! Papa sees and receives our every attempt of love, grace, forgiveness, kindness, mercy, and compassion each and every time. And He says, “Yes, that’s my ________!” This is Face-to Face with Papa. A book of encouragement to grow, and know you are not alone. Words to help pick yourself up in the chaos this world brings. It’s a book to lead you to fight the battle in your precious life the way God intended. It’s a book to help us represent Him well. After all, it comes down to the very thing it started with at the very beginning, with Adam and Eve – a choice. A choice of how the world sees us. For the Kingdom of God is among us…it’s us. It’s me. It’s you. Come join me in this journey as we seek Him together.
Now, settled in beautiful sunny Cheyenne, Wyoming with my husband, Kevin, we celebrate our 45th anniversary this year. I am a mom of two grown sons. Grandma of three wonderful grandsons. Have two lovely daughter-in-laws, whom I’m blessed to call ‘my daughters’. And I am a sister, to two beautiful women. And a friend to all. Proud and humbled to say I am a veteran of the United States Air Force and a former Pastor of Vineyard. I’ve worked with Special Needs for years and now retired. Homeschooled our boys through most of their years. Moved many times as the Lord led us. Made many mistakes along the way. These stories are full of real life and growth. I believe everyone that reads this book will find themselves somewhere in it, feeling not quite alone in this journey. Becoming WHO you were meant to be, His Beloved.
We live in a chaotic world. God has set us in your position for such a time as this. Our spiritual ears and eyes must be open. Not physical hearing but ears of the heart, ears, and eyes of what the Spirit of God is doing. Churches, awake. Intercessors, listen. Lovers of God, stand.
I started writing this book 4-6 years ago, as for years I wrote a prayer email to many in our congregation. Encouraging others in prayer as we yielded to what the Father was saying each week as we prayed and agreed together. My husband and a dear friend encouraged me to take all these prayer emails and write a book to encourage others. So I started compiling these emails and made them into a book. Face-to-Face with Papa was birthed. I was thrilled when the first publishing company I sent it to accepted it, and the process began. A year later, my book was published and released. And here I am now in the publicity side of working with Readers Magnet to get the word out about this book to a greater population. My hope and prayer is that as people read these words it will be life-changing. For Jesus, the Human face of God, invites us to get face-to-face with Papa, our Abba, our Lord, our Savior on a lifelong journey into a heartfelt life of now being Him, the human face of God, to our world. Stop! Listen! Then go be Him, my friend! Be Him well. For Papa says in his beautiful Word, I will reveal to you understanding of what lies ahead and give you courage. I give you great confidence and hope as you rest in Me. John 16:33
