Omega Starlite, Elara Shaoqing, and Ricardo Arnaz de la Estrella are back on their quest for The Lost Planet a.k.a. Earth.
Omega Starlite: Viva Las Planet takes place right after the events of book one (Omega Starlite). The unlucky trio (Omega Starlite, Ricardo Arnaz de la Estrella, and Elara Shaoqing) are back for their final adventure. The trio has successfully traversed the stars and landed on Earth in a town known as Las Vegas. What they thought was a planet of treasures galore has turned into something apocalyptic–the Ripcords are well on their way to feast on the humans of the blue marble.
My inspiration for Omega Starlite comes from the lack of representation I’ve witnessed in media (film, tv, books) where someone like Omega (an androgynous, brown-skinned person) who so happens to have the ability to create and destroy entire galaxies. I think it’s very important to see diversity in books across the spectrum. And that is my goal as an writer and author. Readers will see various characters from rich backgrounds that they’ll be able to relate to.
Omega Starlite is geared toward Young Adult/Adult readers due to language and some suggestive content not suitable for young readers.
My hope is for readers to escape to far-off worlds they can lose themselves in. I also hope for readers to see themselves in the various characters that I’ve created. Readers should know that, despite wherever they in life and whatever circumstances knock them off their feet, there is always hope and light at the end of the tunnel. Also, I want my readers to know that your tribe is out there, all you have to do is look.
My future goals/plans is to close out the series with a spin-off book I have in the works. If anything, I hope Omega Starlite: Viva Las Planet is just what the world needs to escape the world events.
A little about me: I’ve been writing ever since I was a child– creating world beyond this reality. I decided to embark on my journey as a writer when my husband asked, “What makes you happy.” I struggled with that question for some time, and then… it all came to me. Writing is what makes me happy. I wrote my first book in 2019 (of which will never see the light of day) and then, in 2020 I published Omega Starlite (book 1) and I was surprised by the great reviews. In 2021, I left my job to embark on a journey as a full-time writer/author. I have so many more books coming out on the horizon, I even have an audiobook due to be released mid-August for a dark fantasy novel I wrote for NanoWrimo 2020.
Thank you for this opportunity to share my story and to showcase my book. I hope to be here again.
