My New Year’s resolution for 2022 was to read 500 books and write one.

With a master’s degree in education, I’ve never been one to shy away from learning something new however, For Love or Fate was a project that I embarked on strictly to satisfy my dream of one day writing a novel. When I began in the Spring of 2022, I wasn’t sure I would even publish it. Upon its completion in the fall of 2022, I thought I owed it to myself to finalize things. I reached out to several editors, but none returned my emails, so I chose to self-publish thinking “What the hell?”.  It was simply a “me” project. One I was doing for myself. I wasn’t really considering that I might actually sell a book. 

Then I did.

And I thought “Holy Shit!” 

I decided to get serious.

I joined a few writer’s groups and started making connections with other authors. After the holidays, I started writing the second book as a follow-up. Before I knew it, I had plotted for an entire series. I was able to locate an editor for book two, Forbidden Fates, and she has been very helpful. This collaboration led me to make some changes to book one, For Love or Fate. I re-released it in the spring as a pre-launch to book two, Forbidden Fates, with the new content.

The “me project” turned into a wonderful journey.

A journey of self-discovery, of pushing boundaries, challenging ideals, and one of re-discovery and faith in myself. I am so energized and excited to bring the entire series to paranormal loving 18+ readers with the dream of it all making it to the big screen. The commonality of all the heroines in the series is that they must dig deep within themselves drawing on inner strength to activate their powers and realize their soul’s purpose in transcending all of humanity to a new earth. The heroes in my stories compliment them, helping them achieve their potential.

They are a part of their destiny.

They must all fight their own demons, as well as the ones society has put in place to realize their true potential and purpose. Many of those demons the reader may relate to such as infidelity, judgment, or moral and ethical dilemmas. We all have inner demons we battle, some more than others.

We are all on our own journey to discover our purpose in this life. Why are we here? What do we have to offer the collective? This book lays the foundation for the characters, the world in which they live but their story is far from over. Like most of us they have a lot of self-discovery and soul-searching left to do. They have inner and outer demons to do battle with before they can experience the life they were truly meant to live.
